SATURDAY:
ATLETICO MADRID vs REAL SOCIEDAD
Atletico Madrid currently sit 3rd on the standings with 51 points from 26 matches. Their campaign has been built around a disciplined defensive unit that has allowed just 23 goals all season, while their attack has produced 43 strikes.
They come into this clash after a narrow 1-0 victory away to Oviedo, which followed an entertaining 4-2 triumph over Espanyol. However, they have shown occasional inconsistency with 1-0 and 3-0 defeats to Betis and Rayo Vallecano appearing in their recent results.
Real Sociedad occupy 8th place on the table with 35 points. Their season has been somewhat consistent, with the side producing 38 goals while allowing the same number in at the opposite end.
They secured a 1-0 away win over Mallorca last weekend which followed a dramatic 3-3 draw with Oviedo.
Despite these encouraging moments, they were comfortably beaten 4-1 by Real Madrid earlier in February.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this season the sides shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in San Sebastian. Prior to that they met twice last season where the first leg was drawn, and the reverse fixture resulted in a 4-0 victory for Madrid at home.

Atl. Madrid 1.63
Draw 4.25
Real Sociedad 5.50
Verdict
Atletico Madrid’s defensive organisation combined with their home advantage should swing things in their favour here. Sociedad are capable of creating chances, but the hosts’ structure at the back should help them maintain control over possession.

ATHLETIC BILBAO vs BARCELONA
Athletic Bilbao sit 9th on the standings with 35 points from 26 fixtures. They have experienced a mixed campaign but have shown attacking promise lately, finding the net nine times in their last four league matches.
Recent 2-1 victories over Elche and Oviedo, as well as an entertaining 4-2 success against Levante, highlight their ability to threaten in the second half. Defensively though, they have struggled for consistency with 36 goals getting beyond their back line this season and their latest clash ended in a 1-1 stalemate with Rayo Vallecano.
Barcelona lead the league rankings with 64 points and have been dominant throughout their 2025/26 run. Their attacking unit has been relentless, registering 71 goals while their defence has been breached only 26 times.
They arrive in excellent form after a convincing 4-1 victory over Villarreal and have also recorded comfortable wins against Levante and Mallorca in the past month. Their only trouble came in a 2-1 defeat on the road to Girona when they met two weeks ago.
Head-to-Head
During their latest league encounter in November Barcelona produced a convincing 4-0 win, while they also ran out 5-0 victors in the Spanish Super Cup 2026 in January. Notably they have kept a clean sheet against Bilbao in their last four matches.

Ath Bilbao 4.75
Draw 4.50
Barcelona 1.63
Verdict
While Bilbao can be dangerous at home, Barcelona’s attacking power and momentum make them strong favourites. With the visitors regularly producing multiple goals, they should have enough quality to secure another important victory, and I believe they extend their head-to-head run of clean sheets.

SUNDAY:
GETAFE vs BETIS
Getafe are positioned 11th in the standings with 32 points and have been difficult to break down across recent performances. Their defence has tightened considerably, highlighted by a shock 1-0 victory away to Real Madrid last time out.
Prior to that result they secured 2-1 and 2-0 wins over Villarreal and Alaves, although they were edged 1-0 by Sevilla at home on the 22nd of February. Overall, they have scored 21 goals this season while allowing 29 at the other end.
Betis sit 5th on the table with 43 points and remain firmly in the hunt for European qualification. Their attacking play has been productive with 42 goals registered so far, though they have let 32 shots past the keeper.
They come into this encounter unbeaten in their last five league outings, including victories over Mallorca, Atletico Madrid and Valencia. Most recently they played out a lively 2-2 derby draw with Sevilla on home soil.
Head-to-Head
Betis have enjoyed the better of this fixture in recent seasons, winning the last three league meetings including a convincing 4-0 triumph earlier in the campaign. Both of last terms clashes were won 2-1 by Betis.

Getafe 2.90
Draw 3.00
Betis 2.80
Verdict
This looks like one of the more evenly matched fixtures of the weekend. Getafe’s improved defensive displays could make life difficult for the visitors, but Betis possess the attacking quality to break through. With both sides capable of creating opportunities, goals at either end look likely.
BET: Both Teams to Score – Yes at 2.20
