We look at three LaLiga matches taking place on Saturday and Sunday and offer up a betting suggestion in each.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting, where Barcelona head the market at 1.71, followed by Real Madrid at 2.10, with Atletico Madrid available at 41.00 and the balance 67.00 and bigger.
Bookies have also priced up a market that excludes Barcelona and Real Madrid and here Atletico Madrid are trading as 1.57 favourites.

SATURDAY:
VILLARREAL vs REAL MADRID
Villarreal sit 3rd on the log and remain firmly in the title conversation despite a loss last time out. Their most recent outing saw them fall to a 2-0 away defeat against Betis, ending a two-match winning run.
Prior to that they had impressed with victories over Alaves and Elche, and they continue to boast one of the strongest home records in the division, winning 8 of their 10 matches.
They are 2.60 to finish top in the market that excludes the big 2.
Real Madrid are 2nd just 1 point behind Barcelona and they continue to apply pressure at the summit after picking up a routine 2-0 home win over Levante last weekend. That came after a dominant 5-1 victory over Betis.
The visitors have netted 43 goals this season and possess one of the most solid defensive units, conceding only 17, a tally only matched by Atletico.
Head-to-Head
Real Madrid claimed a 3-1 home victory earlier this season, while last term’s meeting in Villarreal ended in a narrow 2-1 win for Madrid.

Villarreal 3.25
Draw 3.85
Real Madrid 2.05
Verdict
This should be a tightly contested encounter between two sides in strong form. Villarreal are difficult to beat at home, but Real Madrid’s quality and recent momentum could prove decisive.

SUNDAY:
ATLETICO MADRID vs MALLORCA
Atletico Madrid are 4th on the log and remain formidable at home, where they have won 7, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their 10 fixtures this season. They were last in action on the 18th of January when they edged Alaves 1-0 on home soi.
After 20 matches played they hold a healthy goal difference of +18 and they have scored 7 goals in their last four clashes.
Mallorca are 15th overall and continue to hover just above the relegation zone. They picked up a morale boosting 3-2 home win over Athletic Bilbao in their most recent outing but have struggled for consistency, losing two of their last four matches.
Defensively they have been vulnerable throughout the season, having conceded 30 goals in 20 games.
Head-to-Head
The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw on Mallorca turf. Atletico have, however, won their last three home meetings against the visitors.

Atletico Madrid 1.31
Draw 5.50
Mallorca 9.50
Verdict
I believe that Atletico’s defensive organisation and strong home form should see them dominate proceedings against a Mallorca side battling to maintain defensive structure. The home team to win without conceding is my call.
BET: Result and Both Teams to Score – Atletico and No at 2.10
BARCELONA vs REAL OVIEDO
Barcelona sit top of the standings and continue to lead the title charge despite suffering a rare 2-1 away defeat to Real Sociedad in their most recent league meeting.
Prior to that they had won nine consecutive matches, scoring freely and showing remarkable attacking depth while keeping things tight at the back.
Real Oviedo are 20th and rooted to the foot of the table after losing 3-2 away to Osasuna last weekend. They have now won just two of their 20 league fixtures and continue to struggle across all aspects, having scored only 11 goals while conceding 31.
They have not picked up a win across their last 13 league fixtures.
Head-to-Head
Barcelona earned a comfortable 3-1 away victory earlier this season. Before this they met in 2001 where Oviedo bounced back from a 3-2 defeat at home to beat Barcelona 1-0 in the reverse leg.

Barcelona 1.11
Draw 10.00
Real Oviedo 20.00
Verdict
Barcelona should bounce back from their recent defeat and their attacking firepower is likely to overwhelm a struggling Oviedo side. I am expecting a high scoring, one-sided affair and am backing the hosts to win by at least 3 goals.
BET: Asian handicap Barcelona -2.5 at 1.80
