We look at three La Liga encounters taking place across Saturday and Sunday the 21st and 22nd of February from a betting point of view, offering up a bet in each game for consideration.
Let’s begin with a glance at the Outright Betting, where Real Madrid lead the way at 1.65, closely followed by Barcelona at 2.20 in what is essentially a 2-horse race.

SATURDAY:
OSASUNA vs REAL MADRID
Osasuna currently occupy 10th place on the standings with 30 points from 24 matches. They have been in solid recent form, going unbeaten in their last five league fixtures, picking up three wins and two draws.
Their most recent clash ended in a 0-0 draw with Elche on opposition turf while before that they scored freely throughout the four games played highlighting their attacking threat, having scored 10 goals in that period.
Real Madrid sit top of the table with 60 points and have won eight consecutive league matches. Their most recent outing resulted in a convincing 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad, while they have also beaten Valencia, Villarreal and Rayo Vallecano in recent weeks by decent margins.
The side have netted 53 goals this campaign while conceding just 19, boasting the best defensive record in the division.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this season, Madrid claimed a 1-0 home victory while last season’s meetings produced a 4-0 triumph in their favour as well as a 1-1 draw.

Osasuna 4.75
Draw 4.00
Real Madrid 1.71
Verdict
Although Osasuna arrive in good form, Real Madrid’s quality and ruthless head-to-head dominance make them firm favourites. Given Madrid’s attacking power and Osasuna’s willingness to play open football at home, this could produce goals.
BET: Real Madrid to Win and Over 2.5 Goals at 2.50
ATLETICO MADRID vs ESPANYOL
Atletico Madrid are 4th on the table with 45 points from 24 matches and remain in the fight for Champions League promotion. They hold one of the best defensive lines in the division, letting in just 21 goals all season while their attack has been solid scoring 38.
Despite this their recent form has dipped, suffering back-to-back 1-0 and 3-0 defeats to Betis and Rayo Vallecano prior to this matchup.
Espanyol sit 6th overall on 35 points and have endured a difficult run of results, losing four of their last five matches. Their latest test ended in a 2-2 home draw with Celta Vigo, while prior defeats to Villarreal, Alaves, Valencia and Girona have exposed defensive frailties, conceding 13 goals in five matches.
Notably their performances away from home have been inconsistent having won four, drawn three and lost four of their matches.
Head-to-Head
Recent clashes between these sides have been tight affairs, with four of the last five ending in draws although Espanyol claimed a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture earlier this season as massive underdogs.

Atletico Madrid 1.47
Draw 4.50
Espanyol 6.75
Verdict
Despite their recent setbacks, Atletico’s defensive solidity and home advantage should prove decisive against an Espanyol side struggling for consistency. I am expecting a controlled performance and a win to nil from the hosts as they look to bounce back.

SUNDAY:
BARCELONA vs LEVANTE
Barcelona are 2nd on the log with 58 points and remain locked in a fierce title battle. They have won three of their last four league matches, including comfortable 3-0 victories over Mallorca and Real Oviedo.
However, they suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat away to Girona in their most recent outing, a result they will be eager to respond to immediately.
Levante sit 19th on the leaderboard with just 18 points and are deep in relegation trouble. They have failed to win in their last four league matches, losing three of them and drawing the remainder. Their latest action saw them take on Villareal and lose 1-0 at home.
Levante have conceded 41 goals this season, the worst defensive record in the league while only being able to find the back of the net 26 times.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this campaign Barcelona secured a 3-2 away win, while last season also produced dominant displays including 3-0 and 3-2 victories.

Levante 16.00
Verdict
With Barcelona chasing the title and Levante struggling defensively, this looks a mismatch on paper. I believe the hosts will win without conceding a goal
