SATURDAY:
ATLETICO MADRID vs GETAFE
Atletico Madrid currently sit 3rd on the standings with 54 points from 27 matches. Their campaign has been built on a balanced approach, with the side registering 46 goals while their defence has allowed just 25 across the season.
They come into this clash in solid form after a dramatic 3-2 victory over Real Sociedad last weekend. Prior to that they secured a narrow 1-0 away win at Oviedo and an entertaining 4-2 triumph over Espanyol.
Getafe occupy 9th place on the table with 35 points and have produced several impressive results in recent weeks. Their defensive organisation has been key to their performances, with the side shipping only 29 goals so far this campaign.
They enter this encounter on the back of an excellent 2-0 victory over Betis, which followed a shocking 1-0 away win against Real Madrid. Earlier results also included a 2-1 triumph over Villarreal and a 2-0 success against Alaves.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this season Atletico secured a 1-0 away win, while they also produced a commanding 5-0 victory in the Copa del Rey during February 2025. Getafe’s last victory came in the second leg last season where they won 2-1 at home.

Atl. Madrid 1.57
Draw 3.85
Getafe 6.75
Verdict
While Getafe arrive in excellent form, Atletico Madrid’s superior squad depth and strong home record should give them the edge. The hosts are typically well organised defensively and are unlikely to allow many clear opportunities.

REAL MADRID vs ELCHE
Real Madrid sit 2nd in the standings with 63 points from 27 fixtures and remain firmly in the title race. Their attacking unit has been highly efficient this season producing 56 goals, while their defence has been breached only 23 times.
They head into this match following a 2-1 away victory against Celta Vigo which helped them recover from a surprising 1-0 home defeat to Getafe. Prior to that setback they were edged 2-1 by Osasuna, although before that they picked up a convincing 4-1 win over Real Sociedad and a solid 2-0 success away over Valencia.
Elche currently sit 17th on the table with 26 points and remain involved in the battle to avoid relegation. Their campaign has been inconsistent, with the team notching 35 goals while their defence has given up 41 at the other end.
They arrive after a 2-1 defeat to Villarreal which followed a 2-2 draw with Espanyol. Earlier results included a 2-1 loss at Athletic Bilbao and a goalless stalemate with Osasuna, highlighting their struggles to maintain consistency despite occasionally getting on the scoresheet.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this season the sides shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, although Madrid had comfortably won several encounters before that.

Real Madrid 1.31
Draw 6.00
Elche 8.50
Verdict
Real Madrid should approach this fixture with renewed focus following recent slip-ups. With their attacking fluency and strong historical record in this fixture, I expect the hosts to control proceedings and create multiple scoring chances and I am going to back them to win by at least 3 goals.
BET: Asian Handicap, Real Madrid -2.5 goals at 2.90

SUNDAY:
BARCELONA vs SEVILLA
Barcelona lead the LaLiga standings with 67 points from 27 games and have been the most dominant side in the division throughout this season. Their attack has been relentless, netting 72 goals while their defence has allowed only 26 past the keeper.
They come into this test after a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Athletic Bilbao, which followed an emphatic 4-1 triumph against Villarreal and a comfortable 3-0 win over Levante. Their only recent setback came in a 2-1 defeat away to Girona in mid-February.
Sevilla sit 14th on the leaderboard with 31 points and have struggled to find consistency this campaign. Their attacking play has produced 35 goals, while their defence has seen 42 goals go past them across the season.
They arrive on the back of a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano and previously played out a 2-2 derby draw against Betis. Before that they secured a narrow 1-0 win away to Getafe, although many of their recent matches have ended level despite them regularly getting forward and creating chances.
Head-to-Head
Sevilla did record a notable 4-1 victory earlier this season in October, which remains one of Barcelona’s rare defeats in the campaign. Prior to this upset the sides met twice during the 2024/25 league where Barcelona won both games with 5-1 and 4-1 scorelines.

Barcelona 1.29
Draw 6.75
Sevilla 9.50
Verdict
Barcelona’s attacking flair and strong performances on home soil make them clear favourites in this contest. While Sevilla are capable of creating shots at goal, the league leaders should possess enough quality to control the match, and I cannot look past a comfortable home win.
BET: Asian Handicap, Barcelona -2.5 goals at 2.60
