We have more World Cup 2026 qualifying action on Friday evening, and we’ll take a look at two matches from a betting angle offering up bets for consideration.
Slovakia v Northern Ireland – click here to bet
Slovakia currently sit 2nd in Group A with 9 points from 4 games, having won three and lost once. They’ve been strong at home, most notably defeating Germany 2-0 in September and Luxembourg 2-0 last month.
Their defence has been compact, conceding only twice in qualifying so far while scoring five.
Northern Ireland are 3rd in the group on 6 points, winning two and losing two of their fixtures. They suffered a 1-0 home loss to Germany in their previous meeting just over a month ago, showing limitations in attack.
Away from home they’ve managed one victory, a 3-1 win over Luxembourg in their opening game of the Qualifiers.
Head-to-Head:
The last time they met was in the reverse fixture that ended 2-0 in favour of Northern Ireland at home when they met in October.
Betting:
Slovakia 2.00
Draw 3.15
Northern Ireland 4.25
Verdict:
Slovakia have a strong home record and boast better balance in midfield and defence. Northern Ireland have been competitive but struggle for consistency on the road. I am expecting the hosts to edge a tight game.
Bet: Slovakia to win at 2.00

Poland v Netherlands – click here to bet
Poland are 2nd in the group on 13 points, having won four, drawn one, and lost one. They’ve looked solid, claiming back-to-back victories over Finland with a scoreline of 3-1 and they beat Lithuania 2-0 on the road last time they played.
Notably they’ve been clinical at home, winning all three matches with an aggregate of 6 for with 1 against.
Netherlands sit top of Group G with 16 points from 6 games, they remain undefeated after winning five and drawing one.
Their recent results have been dominant, including a 4-0 win over Finland and 4-0 away victory against Malta. They’ve scored 22 goals and conceded just 3, showing their quality across all areas of the pitch.
Head-to-Head:
The sides last met most recently in September where they drew 1-1 in Amsterdam in a well contested clash.
Betting:
Poland 4.75
Draw 4.00
Netherlands 1.69
Verdict:
Holland have been ruthless in qualifying and possess far greater attacking depth. Poland are strong at home and capable of scoring, but the visitors’ form and firepower make them favourites to collect all three points.
Bet: Netherlands to win & Both Teams to Score at 3.25
