We take a look at two of the UEFA Nations League matches taking place on Thursday night, namely Scotland v Poland and Denmark v Switzerland and suggest a bet in each game.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where France are trading as the 3/1 favourites ahead of Germany and Spain at 6/1. You can get 7/1 and better the balance and you can click here for the latest Outright Odds as well as Group Betting.
SCOTLAND v POLAND
These two sides play in Group 1 with Croatia and Portugal.
Scotland’s last International action came back in June where they lost 1-0 to Hungary in Euro 24. They also drew 1-1 with Switzerland in the group stages and lost 5-1 to Germany and never qualified for the knock-outs.
Poland were also last in action Euro 24 and like their opponents, Scotland, they failed to progress from their group. They opened their campaign with a 2-1 loss to the Netherlands and then went down 3-1 to Austria before surprising France and holding them to a 1-1 draw.
Head-to-Head
These sides last met in a friendly International in 2022 when the match finished 1-1, the third consecutive draw between the sides over the years.

Scotland 14/10
Draw 23/10
Poland 21/10
Verdict
I think this could be a cagey affair and I am not surprised to see under 2.5 goals trading at 13/20. For me the value lies in the draw.
BET: The draw at 23/10

DENMARK v SWITZERLAND
These sides play in Group 4 with Spain and Serbia.
Denmark’s last action was in Euro 24 when they were beaten in the Round of 16 by Germany, going down 2-0. They had drawn all 3 of their group matches against Serbia, England and Slovenia.
Switzerland made it to the quarter-finals of Euro 24 before losing to England on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after regular time and extra time. They had previously beaten Italy 2-0 in the round of 16 and were unbeaten in the group stages, drawing with Germany, Scotland and beating Hungary.
Head-to-Head
These sides last met in a friendly in March of this year when the game finished goalless and Switzerland haven’t beaten Denmark in their last 6 matches dating back to 1984.

Denmark 11/8
Draw 9/4
Switzerland 22/10
Verdict
Both teams have found the back of the net in 4 of the last 5 matches that Switzerland have played and I think this could be quite an open encounter and will back both teams to score.
BET: Both teams to score, YES, at 10/11
