Burkina Faso finished second in Group E, winning two of their three matches. They started with a dramatic late victory over Equatorial Guinea, bounced back from defeat to Algeria, and closed the group with a controlled 2–0 win over Sudan. They are disciplined, well-drilled, and unlikely to be overawed by the occasion.
