Fluminense, coming off a commanding 4–2 win over Ulsan, need just a draw to secure progression.
Sundowns hopes rest on a must-win scenario against the technically gifted Fluminense. The South Africans showed plenty of fighting spirit despite falling short against Dortmund in a high scoring encounter.
The stakes couldn’t be higher with the PSL Champions forced to come forward in search of the lead.

The standout fixture of Group E pits two unbeaten sides against each other in a direct contest for top spot. Inter Milan left it late to defeat Urawa Red Diamonds, while River Plate have looked solid, particularly in their 3–1 win over the same opposition. Both sides are evenly matched and already close to qualification but a draw or loss will put Inter Milan at risk of not qualifying and it is possible Monterrey could even snatch top spot if this match finishes all square.

With Urawa already eliminated, Monterrey have everything to play for. The Mexican side sits on two points and must win to keep their hopes alive. A draw between Inter and River could see 3 sides finishing on 5 points and Monterrey can leapfrog Inters goal difference if they win by 2 goals or more. If either team win the top of the table clash they will progress with a win of any kind.
Urawa will hope to end their campaign on a high after two tough defeats.
