We take a look at 3 of the FA Cup 3rd Round matches taking place on Sunday and suggest a bet in each game.
Luton Town v Bolton – Click here to bet
Luton currently sit 18th on the English Premier League and saw a 2 match winning run ended last time out when they lost 3-2 at home to Chelsea. Bookmakers are dangling a 100/1 about their chances to win the FA Cup. Their opponents, Bolton, are double that price at 200/1.
Bolton have won their last 4 matches in League 1 and currently sit 2nd on the table and they have had two comfortable home wins in the FA Cup to book their spot in the 3rd Round.
These sides haven’t met in a competitive match since the 1994/95 season.
Both these sides are involved in very different battles with Luton struggling to stay up in the English Premier League and Bolton looking for a return to the Championship. I think that a high flying Bolton team can cause an upset here.
Suggested Bet: Bolton win at 4/1

West Ham v Bristol City – Click here to bet
West Ham are currently 6th in the English Premier League and they have taken 10 points from the last 12 they have played for. They were a bit disappointing at home last time out when they could only draw 0-0 with Brighton, but prior to that they beat Arsenal 2-0 on the road.
Bristol City sit 11th on the Championship, but they saw a 3 match winning streak ended with a draw away to Birmingham and a home loss to Millwall.
Bristol City are priced at 300/1 to win the FA Cup with the bookmakers giving more respect to West Ham priced at 25/1.
There is no recent head-to-head form between the sides, but I tend to agree with the bookmakers that West Ham will be targeting a Cup run and I am going to back them to win this game by more than a goal.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, West Ham -1.5 goals at 23/20
Arsenal v Liverpool – Click here to bet
This is the biggest match of the 3rd Round which sees 4th placed Arsenal hosting top of the table, Liverpool. Both sides have proud FA Cup records and looking at the Outright Betting, Liverpool are priced at 12/1 with Arsenal a couple of points shorter at 10/1.
Arsenal have only won 1 of their last 6 matches in the League and are coming off back-to-back defeats away at Fulham and at home to West Ham. Under 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits in 5 of the last 6 Arsenal matches.
Liverpool are undefeated in their last 5 matches and they beat Newcastle 4-2 at home last time out and prior to that beat Burnley 2-0 on the road.
These sides met in the Premier League earlier this season with the game finishing 1-1 at Anfield and Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-2 at home in the League last season. Somewhat surprisingly their last FA Cup meeting was back in 2014 with Arsenal winning 2-1.
Arsenal are 11/10 to win the match with the draw 29/10 and Liverpool 23/10. Although Liverpool are showing the better form, Arsenal have a good recent record against them and I think of the two sides would probably be the more eager for a long FA Cup run.
Suggested Bet: Arsenal win at 11/10
