The English Premier League clubs join the FA Cup this weekend and we take a look at four of the matches taking place in the 3rd round.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Manchester City are the 15/4 favourites ahead of Liverpool at 5/1 followed by Arsenal and Chelsea both 7/1 and you can get 10/1 and better the balance.

FRIDAY
ASTON VILLA v WEST HAM – Click here to bet
Aston Villa are currently 8th in the Premier League having beaten Leicester 2-1 at home in their last start. Goals have been flowing in Aston Villa games and their last 6 matches have seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profits.
West Ham are 14th on the log and are coming off back-to-back defeats away 4-1 at Manchester City and 5-0 at home to Liverpool.
Aston Villa beat West Ham 2-1 away last time in the Premier League in August of last year and West Ham hasn’t beaten Aston Villa in their last 4 meetings.
Aston Villa is 7/10 with the draw 7/2 and West Ham at 33/10.
While both sides will fancy an FA Cup run, West Ham would be more concerned about avoiding being dragged into the relegation zone and I am going to keep things simple here and go for a home win.
BET: Aston Villa win at 7/10

NOTTINGHAM FOREST v LUTON TOWN – Click here to bet
Nottingham are flying high in the EPL, currently sitting 3rd, level on points with Arsenal and 6 points behind leaders, Liverpool who have played a game less. Forest beat Wolves 3-0 away in the EPL on the weekend in their 6th successive victory.
Luton ply their trade in the Championship, but lost 2-1 away to QPR this past weekend, a result which leaves them 20th on the table and with their 4th successive Championship loss.
These sides met in the Premier League last season and both matches finished level.
Forest are 4/10 for the win here, the draw quoted at 14/1 and Luton Town 13/2.
Personally, I can’t look past a comfortable home win for Nottingham Forest to win by more than a goal.
BET: Handicap, Forest -1.5 goals at 23/20
BOURNEMOUTH v WEST BROM – Click here to bet
Bournemouth are currently 7th in the English Premier League and they are unbeaten in their last 8 matches and on the weekend saw off Everton 1-0 at home.
West Brom are currently playing in the Championship and drew 1-1 away at Swansea on the weekend, a game they looked like winning until conceding a 92nd minute equaliser. That result leaves them in 6th place in the Championship and they have only lost 2 of their last 17 matches in all competitions.
Bournemouth are the 4/7 favourites with the draw 33/10 and West Brom 5/1.
Both sides are in similar positions in their respective leagues suggesting that Bournemouth are rightly favourites here, West Brom are playing some decent football though. With Bournemouth determined to keep on going well in the English Premier League I am going to bet that we get an upset.
BET: West Brom win at 5/1
SUNDAY
ARSENAL v MANCHESTER UNITED – Click here to bet
Arsenal are currently 2nd in the English Premier League, 6 points behind Liverpool who have played a game more. They lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle in midweek in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final, which was their first defeat in any competition since early November in 2024.
Manchester United are 13th in the English Premier League and they are without a win in their last 4 starts. They were impressive on the weekend though where they drew 2-2 away at Liverpool. That broke a run of 4 successive defeats in all competitions.
These sides met in the Premier League in early December where Arsenal won 2-0 at home, their 4th successive victory over United in all competitions.
I expect that both of these teams are high in a deep FA Cup run, but for me Arsenal should be too strong and I am going to back them to win at 7/10. Looking at other markets the draw is 28/10, Manchester United 4/1, you can get 17/20 over 2.5 goals and also 17/20 that both teams find the back of the net.
BET: Arsenal win at 7/10
