The Premier League serves up a cracking Saturday programme with three key fixtures on the card the focus of our attention. Aston Villa host Arsenal in a top-of-the-table showdown, Tottenham face Brentford in a London derby, and Leeds welcome Liverpool in the late kick-off. We take a closer look at all three matches from a betting perspective below.

Aston Villa continue their strong run and enter this fixture 3rd on the table with 27 points from 14 games. They have won four of their last five matches, including an impressive 4–0 home victory over Bournemouth and a hard-fought 4–3 win over Brighton away. Villa’s attack is flowing nicely, but they have shown occasional defensive vulnerability in recent outings.
Arsenal sit top of the Premier League with 33 points and look the most balanced side in the division at the moment. They have conceded just seven goals all season and are unbeaten in their last five matches, including a polished 2–0 win over Brentford and a 4–1 North London Derby victory over Tottenham.
Head-to-Head:
Arsenal have dominated the recent rivalry, winning 13 of the last 20 meetings, while Villa have taken 6 victories. Their last clash ended in a 2–2 draw at The Emirates in January. Matches at Villa Park have been competitive, with Arsenal winning two of the last three but losing 1–0 there in December 2023.
Odds:
Aston Villa 4.00 | Draw 3.50 | Arsenal 1.93
Verdict:
Villa’s attacking form makes them dangerous, especially at home, but Arsenal’s consistency and defensive structure justify their favouritism. This should be a great watch and I am backing both teams to score.
Bet: Both Teams to Score – Yes at 1.91
Tottenham Hotspur vs Brentford – click here to bet
Tottenham enter Saturday in 11th place with 19 points, but their recent form is concerning, having won just one of their last seven. Their defence continues to leak goals, and they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their previous five matches. Spurs’ home performances have also been inconsistent.
Brentford sit level with Spurs on 19 points but have shown better balance recently, with wins over Burnley and Newcastle and a narrow defeat away at Brighton. They continue to score regularly, although defensive lapses remain a concern and their last match was a 2-0 away loss to Arsenal.
Head-to-Head:
Tottenham have dominated this matchup historically, winning 8 of the last 13, with Brentford managing just a single victory. Spurs also won both meetings last season.
Odds:
Tottenham 2.30 | Draw 3.50 | Brentford 3.00
Verdict:
Both sides have attacking qualities but unreliable defences. The head-to-head trends favour Spurs, but Brentford enter with stronger momentum and I am going to focus on the goals markets where I am betting on at least 4 goals in the match.
Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 2.90
Leeds United vs Liverpool – click here to bet
Leeds sit 17th with 14 points but showed real character in their 3–1 home win over Chelsea this week. Despite that result, their defensive problems persist, having conceded 26 goals in 14 matches. Their home form can be spirited, and they have only lost twice in 7 matches this season.
Liverpool are 9th with 22 points and remain unpredictable this season. They’ve lost two of their last five but did produce a strong 2–0 away win over West Ham recently before a disappointing 1-1 draw with Sunderland at home. Their defensive has let them down at times this season and the win over West Ham broke a 4 match losing streak on the road.
Head-to-Head:
Liverpool have won 13 of the last 20 meetings, scoring big in several fixtures including 6–1 and 3–0 victories. Leeds did steal a memorable win at Anfield in 2022, but the Reds have otherwise controlled this fixture.
Odds:
Leeds 4.00 | Draw 3.85 | Liverpool 1.87
Verdict:
Leeds should be competitive, but Liverpool have the superior quality and a dominant historical record. This is the type of match where Liverpool traditionally get the job done.
Bet: Liverpool to Win at 1.87
