Midweek action on the EPL front continues this Wednesday as we turn our attention to four thrilling Premier League matchups, bringing you in-depth analysis and expert betting insights for each game.

The title race is heating up, with Liverpool still in pole position—now as short as 1/16 after the weekend’s results. Arsenal remain in the chase at 17/2, while reigning champions Manchester City face an uphill battle at a staggering 100/1. As for the rest of the pack, they’re priced at 400/1 or higher.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v MANCHESTER CITY – Click here to bet

Tottenham look a resurgent side now that some of their regulars have returned to the fold. Ange Postecoglou’s men secured their third consecutive league win over the weekend with a comprehensive 4-1 victory away to Ipswich on Saturday. Following that result, Spurs find themselves 12th on the table with 33 points from 26 matches. At home, Tottenham have registered back-to-back wins in all competitions, defeating Manchester United 1-0 and Elfsborg 3-0 in Europe.

On Wednesday, they will take on a very much out-of-sorts City outfit, perhaps offering the hosts an ideal opportunity to capitalize on the Citizens’ recent misfortunes. Spurs have held a respectable record in London, securing 17 points from a possible 39. With just five victories at home, Postecoglou will be keen to improve those figures given his side’s vast improvement in recent weeks.

Manchester City travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looking to end a run of back-to-back defeats leading up to Wednesday’s clash. After their Champions League elimination at the hands of Real Madrid, they followed up with a 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool on Sunday. As a result, the Citizens are barely holding on to the all-important fourth spot, which would secure their place in Europe next season. Given that only goal difference separates them from Newcastle United, City will be well aware they cannot afford unnecessary slip-ups moving forward.

Worryingly, City have conceded five goals while scoring just once in their last two matches. Their most recent away trip in the league resulted in a comprehensive 5-1 defeat at Arsenal, and given their return to London this week, City will be hoping for a much better result in the capital. Having accumulated 18 points from a possible 39 on the road, City’s record ranks just 10th best in the league, having registered five wins, three draws, and five defeats.

Head-to-Head

Last five league meetings: Tottenham W2, Draws 1, Manchester City W2

Earlier this season, Spurs secured a commanding 4-0 victory away at the Etihad Stadium. Last season, Manchester City claimed all three points in London with a 2-0 win in this fixture.

Betting

Tottenham 95/40

Draw 16/5

Manchester City 19/20

Verdict

Both teams have had contrasting fortunes in recent weeks. While Spurs seem to be finding their rhythm again, City’s form has dipped again. I’m not convinced City will walk away with all three points here on Wednesday. I quite like the look of Spurs to avoid defeat with goals likely to feature from both ends of the spectrum.

Suggested Bet: Double Chance And Both Teams To Score – Tottenham Hotspur/Draw/ And Yes at 13/10

NOTTINGHAM FOREST v ARSENAL – Click here to bet

Nottingham Forest welcome Arsenal to the City Ground this Wednesday where they will be eager to bounce back after their spirited display against Newcastle United on Sunday. Despite falling 4-3, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side showed resilience, fighting back from 4-1 down to give the Magpies a late scare. Despite the defeat, Forest remain third in the league with 47 points from 26 matches.

At home, they have been a tough nut to crack, conceding just 10 goals all season—the joint-best defensive home record alongside Liverpool. With seven wins, three draws, and only two defeats at the City Ground, Forest have amassed 24 points from a possible 36, boasting the league’s fifth-best home record.

Arsenal enter Wednesday’s clash having squandered a golden opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool. Instead, they now trail by 11 points, albeit with a game in hand. The Gunners sit second with 53 points from 26 matches and must secure maximum points to keep their fading title hopes alive, with just 11 games remaining after this fixture.

Mikel Arteta’s side suffered their first league defeat in 16 matches on Saturday, falling 1-0 at home to West Ham. However, they have been impressive on the road, holding the second-best away record in the league with 25 points from a possible 39 (W7, D4, L2). Notably, they have taken 13 points from their last five away matches, keeping consecutive clean sheets in their last two outings.

Head-to-Head

Last five league meetings: Nottingham Forest W1, Arsenal W4

Arsenal took all three points earlier this season with a comprehensive 3-0 victory in the reverse encounter at the Emirates. In contrast, last season, Arsenal emerged 2-1 winners when they met at the City Ground.

Betting

Nottingham Forest 3/1

Draw 5/2

Arsenal 1/1

Verdict

Forest have been strong at home, while Arsenal need a response if they are to keep their title challenge alive. Given Forest’s defensive solidity, particularly at the City Ground, this one is likely to be a tightly contested affair with the visitors perhaps edging this one out in the end.

Suggested Bet: Full Time Result – Arsenal at 1/1

MANCHESTER UNITED v IPSWICH TOWN – Click here to bet

Manchester United host Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on Wednesday in what could be a pivotal encounter for both sides. The Red Devils, currently 15th in the league with 30 points from 26 matches, come into this clash following a 2-2 draw away to Everton. Rúben Amorim’s side showed resilience after falling 2-0 behind, salvaging a point that could prove crucial later in the season.

United return home desperate to halt a poor run of form at Old Trafford, where they’ve suffered back-to-back league defeats—3-1 to Brighton and 2-0 to Crystal Palace. Having collected just 16 points from 13 home matches, they have squandered 26 points on their own turf, winning only five times. However, this fixture presents an ideal opportunity to bounce back, given Ipswich’s ongoing struggles.

Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich arrive in Manchester looking to deepen United’s woes. The Tractor Boys sit 18th in the table with 17 points from 26 games and are firmly in the relegation battle. They’ve lost four of their last five league matches, picking up just one point in that stretch. Their latest outing—a 4-1 thrashing at home to Spurs—highlighted their defensive frailties, with 17 goals conceded in their last five league games.

Given their shaky backline, another difficult night seems likely, especially against a United side desperate to return to winning ways. Away from home, Ipswich have managed just 10 points, with two wins, four draws, and six defeats.

Head-to-Head

Last five league meetings: Manchester United W3, Draws 2

In their earlier meeting this season, the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Portman Road. The last time these teams faced off at Old Trafford in the league was as far back as 2001, with Manchester United securing a 4-0 victory that day.

Betting

Manchester United 8/15

Draw 7/2

Ipswich Town 5/1

Verdict

Despite United’s inconsistency, they should have too much quality for an out-of-sorts Ipswich side. Injuries may still be a concern for the hosts, but given Ipswich’s defensive vulnerabilities, United should claim a relatively comfortable victory.

Suggested Bet: Result And totals – Manchester United & Over 2.5 Goals at 23/20

LIVERPOOL v NEWCASTLE UNITED – Click here to bet

Liverpool are in imperious form, sitting atop the Premier League with an 11-point lead over Arsenal, having amassed 64 points. The Reds head into Wednesday’s clash fresh from an impressive 2-0 victory away to Manchester City on Sunday evening— a result that could prove pivotal in the title race. Having suffered just one domestic defeat all season, Arne Slot’s men have been relentless, collecting 17 points from a possible 21 in their last seven league outings.

At Anfield, Liverpool have been formidable, securing 29 points from a possible 36 (W9, D2, L1), with their sole home defeat coming against Nottingham Forest earlier in the campaign. Given their dominance, the title appears to be theirs to lose. This week, they take on Newcastle United in the league before facing the Magpies again in the Carabao Cup final. A victory here could provide a psychological edge heading into the Wembley showdown, and given Liverpool’s imperious league form, they have the upper hand.

Newcastle United arrive at Anfield buoyed by a thrilling 4-3 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, a welcome return to winning ways following their 4-0 drubbing at Manchester City. Eddie Howe’s men remain in the hunt for European football, sitting fifth with 44 points from 26 matches.

That heavy defeat at the Etihad marked their first loss in seven away games, halting a six-match winning streak on the road across all competitions. The Magpies currently boast the eighth-best away record in the league, collecting 21 points from a possible 39 (W6, D3, L4).

Head-to-Head

Last five league meetings: Liverpool W4, Draw 1

Earlier this season, these two teams played out an exciting 3-3 draw at St James’ Park. Last season, Liverpool dominated the encounter at Anfield, running out 4-0 winners.

Betting

Liverpool 8/15

Draw 4/1

Newcastle United 9/2

Verdict

Liverpool have consistently had Newcastle’s number, and this encounter looks set to follow a similar pattern. Eddie Howe’s side have enough firepower to trouble the hosts and get on the scoresheet, but given Liverpool’s exceptional home record and overall dominance, backing the Reds to win remains the logical choice.

Suggested Bet: Result And Both Teams To Score – Liverpool & Yes at 16/10
