The English Premier League returns from a short break and we take a look at 4 of the matches taking place on Tuesday and suggest a bet in each game.
Manchester City are the 8/13 favourites to defend their English Premier League Title with Liverpool priced at 9/4 and Arsenal now out to 8/1. You can get 33/1 and better the balance and you can click here for all of the EPL long-term markets.
Nottingham Forest v Arsenal – Click here to bet
Forest are currently sitting 16th on the log with 2 wins and a loss in their last 3 matches. Last time out they went down 3-2 at Brentford and before that they beat Manchester United at home and Newcastle away.
Goals have been flowing in Forest matches and both teams to score backers would have collected in their last 4 games, each of which have reached the 3 goal market. 3 of those 4 matches would have delivered profits for over 3.5 goal backers.
Arsenal are 3rd on the log and broke a 3 match run without a win when they beat Crystal Palace 5-0 at home last time out. Their previous away game was a 2-1 defeat to Fulham and they haven’t won in their last 3 away matches.
Arsenal beat Forest 2-1 at home earlier in the season, but last season it was Nottingham who took this fixture 1-0.
Arsenal are worthy favourites here at 4/10, but it is the goal market that catches my attention and I think this could be an action packed affair with 4 goals or more in it.
Suggested Bet: over 3.5 goals at 7/4
Luton Town v Brighton – Click here to bet
Luton are in the relegation zone sitting in 18th spot and they are coming off a 1-1 away draw at Burnley and before that lost 3-2 at home to Chelsea. Both teams to score backers would have collected profits in 8 of the last 9 Luton matches.
Brighton are 7th on the log and undefeated in their last 4 starts with 3 draws and 1 victory. Their last 2 games have been goalless draws at home to Wolves and away at West Ham.
Brighton beat Luton 4-1 in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
Brighton are the 8/11 favourites here, but I fancy Luton to get something out of this game against a Brighton side which appears to be struggling.
Suggested Bet: Double chance, Luton Town or the draw at 11/10

Fulham v Everton – Click here to bet
Fulham are currently 13th on the log with just 1 win in their last 5 matches. Last time out they lost 1-0 away to Chelsea, but their last home game was a 2-1 win against Arsenal, a game where they were 4/1 underdogs. Fulham have won 6 and lost 4 of their 10 home matches this season.
Everton are 17th on the log on 17 points which includes their 10 point deduction. They had fought their way out of the relegation zone, but are back in trouble sitting in 17th spot after taking just 1 point from the last 12 they have played for. That was last time out in a goalless draw at home to Aston Villa and their last home game was a 3-0 defeat to Wolves and they have lost their last 2 away matches.
Everton haven’t beaten Fulham in their last 4 League meetings and I think the home team are the play here at 15/10.
Suggested Bet: Fulham win at 15/10
Aston Villa v Newcastle – Click here to bet
Aston Villa are currently 4th on the log with just 1 defeat in their last 10 starts. They drew 0-0 away at Everton last time out and their last home game was a 3-2 victory over Burnley. With 9 wins and 1 draw in 10 matches they have the best home record in the EPL.
Newcastle are 10th on the log and have suffered 4 successive defeats, most recently going down 3-2 at home to Manchester City. Their last away game was a 4-2 defeat to Liverpool. They have only won once in 10 attempts at home this season and they have only taken 5 points from a possible 30 on their travels.
Newcastle won this fixture 5-1 at home earlier in the season, but Villa were 3-0 winners last season and given their home record and Newcastle’s troubles on their travels, I am backing Villa to take the 3 points.
Suggested Bet: Aston Villa win at 10/11
