With three of the teams vying for Premier League glory in action this Sunday, we take a look at both EPL fixtures and suggest placing a bet in each game.
Let’s begin by looking at the Outright Betting for the English Premier League. League favourites, Manchester City, are currently priced at 12/10, with the second favourites, Liverpool, at 2/1, followed by Arsenal at 11/4. The rest can be snapped up at 300/1 or better.

LIVERPOOL v BRIGHTON– Click here to bet
Liverpool is currently 2nd on the table, separated merely by goal difference between themselves and current front runners, Arsenal, on 64 points. With nineteen wins, seven draws and two losses in the league, the Reds will host Brighton this coming Sunday in red-hot form, despite dropping two valuable points in their recent 1-1 draw against defending champions Man City. Liverpool’s figures at home this season show an exemplary unbeaten record with eleven wins and three draws to date. Up front, their attacking prowess has fired on all cylinders, boasting the best Premier League statistics, with a positive 26-goal difference at Anfield.
The Reds have averaged 2.71 goals per game this season at Anfield, with over 2.5 goals arriving in 71.4% of those encounters (10 out of 14).
Brighton currently finds themselves 8th on the table with 42 points, having registered eleven wins, nine draws and eight losses to date. The Seagulls will be relieved to be back among the winners’ circle, registering back-to-back wins in all formats after hitting a bit of a slump prior to that. Despite their recent efforts in Europe, Roma unceremoniously dumped Brighton out of the competition and the Seagulls will be hoping to claw themselves back into European contention for next season’s campaign. On their travels, Brighton has shown inconsistency, registering just four wins, three draws and seven defeats, resulting in a goal difference of minus 6 in the league.
The Seagulls have averaged 0.63 goals per game this season on the road, with over 2.5 goals arriving in 71.4% of those encounters (10 out of 14)
Head to Head
The reverse fixture resulted in a 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium earlier this season, following a similar trend that saw a 3-3 draw in this fixture at Anfield last season.
Verdict
With things heating up at the top and knowing that there are only ten games left this season, Liverpool can ill afford to drop further points, especially at home. Brighton have not been as consistent this season and given their figures reflect a distinctly average record on the road, the Reds should have too much given what’s at stake for the hosts.

MANCHESTER CITY v ARSENAL– Click here to bet
Man City is currently 3rd, with just 1 point separating themselves from Arsenal and Liverpool on the table. Their most recent 1-1 draw at Anfield meant Guardiola and his men had a golden opportunity to overtake the Reds in their own backyard, having taken the lead earlier in the game. In the end, they had to settle for one point despite their best efforts, allowing Arsenal to overtake them, albeit by the most slender of margins. With nineteen wins, six draws and three losses, The Citizens will host Arsenal on Sunday, knowing that anything but three points could be detrimental to their title defence. City at home are currently unbeaten, with ten wins and four draws to their name, reflecting the third-best goal difference figures at home in the EPL with a positive 22 at the Etihad.
The Citizens have averaged 2.42 goals per game this season at the Etihad, but surprisingly, over 2.5 goals have only arrived in 50% of those encounters (7 out of 14).
Arsenal are currently 1st on the table, separated only by goal difference with league title contenders Liverpool. In their most recent EPL appearance, the Gunners left it late requiring an 86th minute winner from Kai Havertz against league strugglers Brentford, securing a 2-1 victory and most importantly maximum points. That result paved their way atop of the log given that Liverpool and City did not do themselves any favours having drawn against one another a day later. Away from home, Arsenal have been in superb form. Obtaining nine crucial wins, two draws and three losses as well as boasting the best figures on the road in the league with a positive 23 goal difference.
The Gunners have averaged 2.42 goals per game this season on the road, with over 2.5 goals arriving in 57% of those encounters (8 out of 14)
Head to Head
Arsenal won the reverse fixture 1-0 this season and Man City ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in this fixture last season.
Verdict
Given the magnitude of this epic encounter that awaits us, this should undoubtedly be the game of the weekend. Both teams know that three points will be crucial given that Liverpool are likely to win their fixture in the earlier kick off.
Arteta and his squad seem to have learned a lot from last season and instead of fading away, they appear to be going from strength to strength this time around. City will always be dangerous at the Etihad, but will be concerned over several key players left on the side-lines. It’s a very difficult game to call, given that a draw could come into play as well. Despite last season’s drubbing at the hands of City, a chance is taken on the visitors to get something from this encounter.
Recommended Bet: Double Chance, Draw or Arsenal at 17/20
