Premier League action continues this weekend, where we’ll break down all five fixtures scheduled for Saturday, providing a betting suggestion for each match.
Before doing so, let’s take a look at the latest outright odds for the Premier League title race. With a seven-point lead at the top of the standings, Liverpool remain the favourites to claim the title at 8/10, with Arsenal trailing at 9/4. Manchester City enter the equation at 6/1, while Chelsea remain on the radar at 12/1. The rest of the field can be backed at 150/1 or greater.

EVERTON v LIVERPOOL – Click here to bet
Everton head into Saturday’s Merseyside derby buoyed by a dominant 4-0 win over Wolves midweek, marking their third victory of the season. The Toffees are 15th in the league with 14 points from 14 matches and have been steady at Goodison Park, securing 2 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses. With 9 goals scored and 8 conceded at home, Sean Dyche’s side will be keen to build on their recent form against their city rivals.
Liverpool played out a thrilling 3-3 draw away to Newcastle United midweek. Despite showing resilience by coming from behind twice to take the lead, they conceded a late equalizer in the 90th minute. Arne Slot’s side remains in excellent form, leading the table with 35 points from 14 matches. On the road, Liverpool have impressed with five wins and two draws, scoring 16 goals while conceding eight. A win at Goodison Park is vital for the visitors to maintain a healthy lead at the top of the standings.
Last season, Liverpool won 2-0 in the reverse fixture, while Everton responded with a 2-0 victory in this encounter at Goodison Park.
Everton’s 4-0 win over Wolves will give them some confidence, but the challenge of facing Liverpool in the Merseyside derby is a completely different task. Liverpool, despite their dramatic 3-3 draw against Newcastle, are in superb form and possess a wealth of quality that should prove too much for Everton to handle. The Reds have been excellent on the road this season, and they will likely look to bounce back with a dominant performance.
Suggested Bet: Result and Totals, Liverpool and Over 1.5 at 13/20
CRYSTAL PALACE v MANCHESTER CITY – Click here to bet
Crystal Palace will be aiming to build on their recent form when they host Manchester City this Saturday. Unbeaten in their last three league matches, the Eagles secured back-to-back draws before a 1-0 win away to Ipswich Town in their most recent outing. However, Palace remain near the bottom of the table in 17th place with 12 points from 14 matches. At Selhurst Park, they’ve won once, drawn three, and lost three, scoring just 4 goals while conceding 8.
Manchester City returned to winning ways after a seven-match winless streak across all competitions, comfortably beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 midweek. Pep Guardiola’s side sit 4th in the league with 26 points but have struggled on the road, picking up just 10 points from a possible 21, with 3 wins, 1 draw, and 3 defeats. Despite these newfound challenges for the reigning champions, City remain firm favourites to secure another three points.
Last season, these two sides drew 2-2 in the reverse encounter at the Etihad, followed by a 4-2 victory for Manchester City in this fixture at Selhurst Park.
Manchester City’s return to winning ways midweek signals a potential resurgence, and with their superior quality, they should have little trouble overcoming a Crystal Palace side that has struggled throughout the season. Palace, currently 17th in the league, have shown little to suggest they can challenge the reigning champions, and their poor home form adds to the expectation that City are likely to claim all three points.
Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, Manchester City at 6/10

BRENTFORD v NEWCASTLE UNITED – Click here to bet
Brentford will be looking to bounce back after their poor run of form away from home continued with a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa midweek. The Bees, currently 11th in the Premier League with 20 points from 14 matches, will be hoping to capitalize on their solid home form. At the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford remain unbeaten this season having earned 6 wins and 1 draw, boasting the best home figures in the league overall. The Bees have found the net 22 times while conceding 12 on home soil this campaign.
Newcastle United, sitting 12th in the table with 20 points from 14 matches, are coming off a dramatic 3-3 draw at home to Liverpool. The Magpies are unbeaten in their last two away matches, having secured 4 points from a possible 6 on the road. Their away form consists of 2 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses, with 9 goals scored and the same amount conceded.
Newcastle United have won all five of their previous meetings with Brentford. Last season, they completed the double over Brentford, claiming a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture and a 4-2 win in the return match at Brentford.
Brentford have been superb at home all season, and I fancy their chances despite a rather poor record against the Magpies. Newcastle are coming off an inspiring draw at home against Liverpool, but one has to question whether they can replicate that sort of performance again just three days later.
Suggested Bet: Draw No Bet, Brentford at 23/20
ASTON VILLA v SOUTHAMPTON – Click here to bet
Aston Villa will aim to build momentum following a crucial 3-1 victory over Brentford in midweek, their first win in nine matches across all competitions. Unai Emery’s side has struggled for consistency in recent weeks, collecting just 5 points from a possible 15 in their last five league games. However, their home form has been far more encouraging, with 3 wins, 3 draws, and just one defeat at Villa Park. Currently sitting 8th in the league with 22 points, the Villains will be eager to build on Wednesday’s success as they strive to keep pace with the teams vying for European qualification next season.
Southampton have struggled in their return to top-flight football, languishing in 20th place with just 5 points. Their recent form has been dismal, managing only 1 point from the last 12 available in their past four league games. The Saints suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at home to Chelsea in midweek and remain winless away from home this season, with 3 draws and 4 losses. They have scored just 4 goals while conceding 14 on their travels.
The last league meetings between these two sides occurred in the 2022/23 season, with Aston Villa winning both encounters 1-0, first in the reverse fixture and then repeating the score-line in this match.
Aston Villa will aim to build on their midweek performance this weekend, and given Southampton’s struggles this season, it’s hard to see them posing much of a challenge against a quality Villa side. Villa should have the upper hand and are likely to secure a comfortable victory.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Aston Villa -1.5 at 19/20
MANCHESTER UNITED v NOTTINGHAM FOREST – Click here to bet
Manchester United will look to find stability under their new manager, Ruben Amorim, when they host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford this Saturday. Coming off a disappointing 2-0 defeat away to Arsenal in midweek, the Red Devils sit in 13th place with 19 points from 14 matches. At home, they’ve secured 4 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses. United have scored 17 goals but, worryingly, conceded 15 overall—a stat they will need to vastly improve if they are to challenge for European spots come the end of the season.
Nottingham Forest’s campaign appears to have stalled after a strong start to the season. Unfortunately for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side, they have suffered three defeats in their last four league games, including a heavy 3-0 loss away to Manchester City, marking back-to-back defeats on the road. Currently sitting in 7th place with 22 points from 14 matches, Forest will travel to Old Trafford in search of a positive result, hoping to reverse their poor away form. Despite recent struggles, their overall road record shows promise, having earned 11 points from a possible 21, with 3 wins, 2 draws, and 2 defeats, scoring 8 goals and conceding 10 away from home.
Last season, Manchester United won 3-2 in this fixture, while Nottingham Forest responded with a 2-1 victory in the reverse encounter at the City Ground.
Given Forest’s recent form, it’s likely they’ll struggle to avoid another defeat in Manchester, especially after suffering a heavy loss at the Etihad just days earlier. Despite United’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Arsenal midweek, I believe they will bounce back this weekend in front of their home fans at Old Trafford.
