NEWCASTLE UNITED v MANCHESTER CITY – Click here to bet
Newcastle United will host reigning champions Manchester City this Saturday at St James’ Park. The Magpies currently sit 6th in the table with 10 points having suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend, losing 3-1 away to Fulham at Craven Cottage. At home, Newcastle remain unbeaten, with two wins from two league matches, averaging 1.5 goals per game at St James’ Park.
Manchester City visit St James’ Park this weekend, remaining unbeaten in the league and sitting at the top of the table. Last weekend, the Citizens dropped points for the first time this season with a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad. Away from home, City have been impressive, winning both of their games against West Ham and Chelsea by a two-goal margin.
Last season, Manchester City completed a double over Newcastle, winning 1-0 in the reverse fixture and securing a hard-fought 3-2 victory in this encounter.
City should have the edge over Newcastle and are likely to bounce back from last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal. This fixture has historically delivered plenty of goals, making a City win with over 1.5 goals a compelling option.
Suggested Bet: Result And Totals, Manchester City And Over 1.5 at 8/10

BRENTFORD v WEST HAM – Click here to bet
Brentford currently sit 12th in the table with 6 points from 5 games and have experienced a dip in form following their 3-1 loss to Spurs last weekend, marking their second consecutive league defeat. This result also extended their run of three straight away losses this season. However, they have been formidable at home, with an impressive start at the Brentford Community Stadium, boasting two wins from two in the Premier League.
West Ham travel to Brentford this Saturday, currently placed 14th in the table with 4 points. The Hammers have secured just 1 point from their last three league outings. Last weekend, Julen Lopetegui’s side suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea, marking their third straight loss at home in the league this season.
Brentford secured all three points with a thrilling 3-2 victory in this fixture last season, while the reverse encounter ended in a 4-2 win for West Ham.
Both teams head into Week 6 following defeats, but this weekend’s hosts certainly have the advantage, considering West Ham’s poor performances on the road and Brentford’s solid campaign at home. A chance is taken on the Bees to deliver yet another blow to the travellers this Saturday.
Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, Brentford at 5/4
ARSENAL v LEICESTER CITY – Click here to bet
Arsenal currently sit 4th in the table with 11 points, having recorded 3 wins and 2 draw’s this season. Last weekend’s 2-2 draw away to City at the Etihad marked their first draw on the road, following back-to-back victories in their previous away matches. At the Emirates, Arsenal have secured 1 win and 1 draw, earning 4 points from a possible 6 at home so far.
Winless heading into week 6, Leicester City’s return to the top flight has not gone as planned. Currently languishing in 15th place, they have managed 3 draws and 2 defeats, accumulating just 3 points from 5 games. The Foxes visit the Emirates following a 1-1 draw at home against Everton, a match they would have targeted for a win given Everton’s poor run of form. On the road, Leicester have played twice, registering 1 draw and 1 defeat so far.
In their most recent encounters during the 2022/23 season, Arsenal achieved a double over Leicester City, winning 4-2 in this fixture and securing a 1-0 victory in the reverse match.
Anything less than a win for Arsenal this weekend would be a genuine shock. The Gunners are priced at 1/5 to secure all three points and should do so with relative ease, thanks to their impressive defensive structure. Another clean sheet victory for the hosts could be on the cards.
Suggested Bet: Arsenal To Win To Nil, Yes at 8/10
NOTTINGHAM FOREST v FULHAM – Click here to bet
Unbeaten so far, Nottingham Forest will look to extend that record this weekend against tricky opposition in Fulham. Despite their positive start, Forest have yet to secure a win at home this season, having registered back-to-back draws at the City Ground. Currently sitting 8th in the table with 2 wins and 3 draws, Forest have performed significantly better on the road, securing 2 wins and 1 draw to obtain 7 points from a possible 9.
Fulham currently sit in 9th place in the league, having earned 8 points from a possible 15 this season. Last weekend, they secured their second league win of the campaign, comfortably defeating Newcastle United 3-1 at Craven Cottage. However, away from home, Fulham have managed to secure only 1 point, having drawn 1 and lost 1 so far.
Last season, Nottingham Forest emerged as 3-1 victors in this fixture, while Fulham claimed an emphatic 5-0 win in the reverse encounter.
Despite last season’s relatively high-scoring encounters between these two sides, this matchup could yield a different outcome. Nottingham Forest has secured back-to-back 1-1 draws at home, showcasing a tendency toward tighter games. Given this context, taking a chance on the visitors claiming at least a point appears to be a decent option, along with the likelihood of three goals or fewer in the match this Saturday.
Suggested Bet: Double Chance And Totals, Draw/Fulham And Under 3.5 at 21/20
EVERTON v CRYSTAL PALACE – Click here to bet
This Saturday, Everton hosts Crystal Palace at Goodison Park, as they desperately seek to gain much needed momentum in the league. Currently, they sit in 19th place with just one point and a goal difference of -9. The Toffees will be eager for a home victory in order to revive their disappointing campaign. At home, they have yet to earn a point, having lost both of their league matches so far. However, they did manage to secure their first point of the season last weekend with a 1-1 draw against Fulham.
Crystal Palace travels to Goodison Park this weekend, currently positioned 16th in the table with 3 draws and 2 defeats, accumulating a modest 3 points so far. Struggling to replicate the form they displayed last season, the Eagles enter Week 6 in search of their first win. Last week, Palace was fortunate to earn a point, managing a 0-0 draw at home against Manchester United, despite being on the back foot for much of the match. If they replicate that performance away from home this Saturday, it could spell trouble for the visitors.
Last season, these two sides faced off in a 1-1 draw at this venue, while Everton claimed a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture.
I don’t anticipate many goals in this clash, considering both teams are struggling in the league. Expect a tightly contested battle between two sides eager to avoid defeat.
Suggested Bet: Totals, Under 2.5 at 10/11
CHELSEA v BRIGHTON – Click here to bet
Chelsea has made a solid start to the season, currently sitting in 5th place with 10 points from 5 league appearances. This weekend, they host Brighton after an impressive 3-0 victory away at West Ham last weekend, followed by a 5-0 thrashing of Barrow midweek in the EFL Cup at Stamford Bridge. However, they will be looking to improve their home record in the Premier League, having secured only 1 point from a possible 6, with a draw against Crystal Palace and a defeat to Manchester City in their season opener.
Brighton enter Week 6 sitting 7th in the standings, with 9 points from their efforts so far. The Seagulls salvaged a point last weekend at home in a highly entertaining 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, marking the first time they have conceded more than 1 goal in the Premier League this season. Away from home, Brighton remains unbeaten, having secured 1 win and 1 draw while conceding just 1 goal so far.
Last season, Chelsea secured a double in this matchup, winning 3-2 at home and 2-1 in the reverse fixture.
Brighton has impressed on the road and certainly poses a threat to Chelsea. That said, the Blues seem to be back on track after last weekend’s superb performance and should secure their first home win with a narrow victory this weekend.
Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, Chelsea at 8/11
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS v LIVERPOOL – Click here to bet
Rooted at the bottom of the table with just 1 point and a goal differential of -9, Wolverhampton Wanderers will host Liverpool at Molineux Stadium in the final match of Saturday’s fixtures. Their most recent league encounter ended in a 3-1 defeat away to Aston Villa last weekend, marking their third consecutive defeat in all competitions. At home, Wolves are still searching for their first point, having already suffered two defeats in front of their loyal fans this season.
Liverpool have started their campaign on a strong note, currently sitting in 2nd place with 12 points from a possible 15, having registered 4 wins and 1 surprising defeat to Nottingham Forest. The Reds bounced back impressively after that loss, comfortably defeating Bournemouth 3-0 last weekend. Away from home, Liverpool has been ruthless, securing back-to-back clean-sheet victories by a margin of 2 goals or more in both matches.
Last season, Liverpool secured a double in this matchup, winning 3-1 away from home and achieving a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture.
Wolves’ struggles are likely to continue this weekend, with the Reds heavily fancied at 4/10 to win. Liverpool can build on their performance from last weekend and are expected to secure another comfortable victory by a margin of 2 goals or more on the road.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Liverpool -1.5 at 1/1
