There are 8 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we take a look at them from a betting angle.
Before delving into each game, let’s take a look at what the outright markets have to offer. Manchester City are the firm favourites at 37/100 to win the English Premier League, ahead of Arsenal at 9/4, with Liverpool, who are currently out of favour, at odds of 400/1.

FULHAM v MANCHESTER CITY – Click here to bet
Fulham are currently 13th on the table and seem to be struggling for form lately. The Cottagers have registered just 1 win in their last 7 league encounters, with their most recent match resulting in a 0-0 draw away to Brentford.
Manchester City currently occupy 2nd spot on the table, just 1 point behind leaders Arsenal. However, they do have a game in hand, which could prove crucial at the end of the season. The Citizens thumped Wolves 5-1 in their most recent outing, securing their 6th consecutive win in the EPL.
City have a superb record against Fulham, having secured 15 consecutive wins over the Cottagers in all competitions. Fulham have shown improvement, however, by finding the net at least once in all four of their most recent encounters.
Suggested Bet: Results and Both Teams to Score, Manchester City and Yes at 14/10
WEST HAM v LUTON TOWN – Click here to bet
West Ham are currently 9th on the table, with 1 win, 1 draw, and 3 losses in their last 5 league encounters. Their most recent match ended in a 5-0 defeat away to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. In their last five EPL appearances, they have conceded an average of 3 goals per game.
Luton Town currently occupy 18th spot in the league, trailing Nottingham Forest by 3 points. Their most recent game ended in a 1-1 draw against Everton, breaking the cycle of 3 consecutive defeats in the league. The Hatters have not managed a single clean sheet on the road, contributing heavily to over 2.5 goals dominating their away games, with 13 out of 18 matches seeing 3 or more goals arriving.
West Ham won the reverse fixture 2-1 earlier this season, despite not being in the best of form, this game could potentially get the Hammers out of their recent slump given the last time Luton Town won away from home was back in December last year.
Suggested Bet: Double Chance and Totals, West Ham/Draw and over 2.5 at 17/20
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS v CRYSTAL PALACE – Click here to bet
Wolves seem to have lost their way lately, with just 1 win in their last 8 EPL encounters. Currently 12th on the table, they suffered their heaviest defeat over the weekend, losing 5-1 away to Man City. However, they broke the chain of 3 consecutive defeats at home by defeating Luton Town 2-1 in their last match at Molineux Stadium.
Crystal Palace are currently flying high, having handed Manchester United a walloping on Monday evening by thumping the Red Devils 4-0 at Selhurst Park. Sitting 14th on the log, the Eagles have managed to secure 13 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 league appearances, registering 4 wins and 1 draw.
Crystal Palace won the reverse fixture 3-2 earlier this season, and given the contrast in form between these two teams, the Eagles potentially have an opportunity to complete the double over Wolves this weekend.
Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, Crystal Palace at 29/20

AFC BOURNEMOUTH v BRENTFORD – Click here to bet
Bournemouth currently sit mid-table in 10th spot and will host Brentford at Vitality Stadium, having suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend. The Cherries are currently unbeaten in their last 6 league appearances at home, registering 4 wins and 2 draws during that period.
Brentford are 16th on the log and will be relieved they have avoided the drop this season. Their most recent performance resulted in a 0-0 draw against Fulham at Brentford Community Stadium, making it back-to-back games where they have failed to find the back of the net. On their travels, the Bees have recorded 5 losses in their last 7 EPL outings.
Their most recent head-to-head resulted in a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture, with both teams having to settle for another point in this fixture last season after ending 0-0. Despite recent encounters, the Cherries have looked solid at home, something which cannot be said about Brentford’s away form.
Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, AFC Bournemouth to win at 1/1
EVERTON v SHEFFIELD UNITED – Click here to bet
Despite being docked 8 points this season, the Toffees have managed to escape relegation for the second season running. Currently 15th on the table, they enter this round off the back of a 1-1 draw away to Luton Town. At Goodison Park, Everton have won 4 in a row, keeping clean sheets in all 4 of those league appearances at home.
Sheffield United became the first team to be relegated this season. The Blades occupy last spot, having registered just 3 wins throughout their campaign. Recent form reflects a sorry state for Sheffield United, as they have recorded 5 consecutive defeats despite averaging a goal per game in those encounters.
The Toffees seem to have found their form just in time. With this being their last home game of the season, Everton will undoubtedly want to thank their fans for their ongoing support throughout their ordeal. Having secured 4 consecutive wins at home without conceding a goal, I believe they can make it 5 in a row.
Suggested Bet: Everton win to nil, yes at 31/20
NEWCASTLE UNITED v BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION – Click here to bet
Newcastle United are currently in 6th position, 4 points behind Spurs, who currently occupy automatic qualification for the Europa League. With only 3 games remaining, the Magpies are cutting it fine if they are to qualify for Europe next season. Fresh off an impressive 4-1 win away to Burnley, Newcastle will host Brighton at St James’ Park, where they have secured 4 wins and 1 draw in their last 5 league matches. The hosts have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game during that period.
Brighton are currently 11th on the table and will visit St James’ Park after securing a 1-0 win at home against Aston Villa. The victory was much-needed as it marked a return to winning ways for the Seagulls, who had suffered back-to-back defeats prior to the Villa game. However, it hasn’t been a particularly good period for Brighton overall, as they have obtained just 5 points from a possible 21 in their last 7 league appearances.
Despite the visitors returning to winning ways, Newcastle should have their measure this Saturday. Brighton may have won 3-1 earlier this season against the Magpies, I expect the hosts to return the favour this time around.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Newcastle United -1.5 at 5/4
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v BURNLEY – Click here to bet
Spurs will be desperate to change their fortune after registering their fourth consecutive defeat last weekend, suffering a 4-2 loss away to Liverpool at Anfield. Defensively, they have looked frail, conceding 13 goals in their last 4 league appearances. Currently 5th on the table, Tottenham will look to secure their place in Europe, and facing Burnley, who have also struggled recently, certainly offers the hosts a lifeline this Saturday.
Burnley are second from bottom, occupying 19th spot. They visit Spurs having won just 1 league fixture in their last 7 appearances. Their most recent game ended in a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United. Given their poor away form with just 3 wins on the road this season, it could be another disastrous day for the Clarets.
Spurs secured a comfortable 5-2 victory away against Burnley earlier this season and should have too much class for relegation-threatened Burnley this Saturday. Tottenham should return to winning ways in style given how the Clarets have fared in general.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Tottenham Hotspur -1.5 at 15/20
NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CHELSEA – Click here to bet
Nottingham Forest sit directly above the relegation zone in 17th position, knowing that a win this Saturday will go a long way in securing top-flight football next season. This will be Forest’s last home game of the campaign. Recent form reflects just 1 win from 5 appearances, and they will be desperate to repeat last week’s 3-1 triumph over Sheffield United given the magnitude of this encounter.
Chelsea have been a bit of an enigma this season and have been difficult to read for the most part. Currently 7th on the table, the Blues visit the City Ground off the back of an impressive 5-0 win at home against West Ham, marking their fourth consecutive win at Stamford Bridge. However, away from home, they are very much a different unit, having failed to register a win in their last 5 league outings, drawing 4 and losing the other.
It’s a massive game for Forest as they continue to bid for survival in the Premier League. Chelsea’s current form away from home offers the hosts an opportunity here, as they have already beaten the Blues 1-0 at Stamford Bridge this season. Given how Chelsea have fared away from home in comparison to their home form, a chance is taken on Forest to get something out of the game.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Nottingham Forest + 0.5 at 5/6
