We take a look at the two English Premier League games taking place on New Year’s Eve and suggest a bet in each of them.
Manchester City have shortened back to odds on favourites at 17/20 to win the English Premier League ahead of Liverpool at 26/10 and Arsenal are now out to 7/2.

Fulham v Arsenal – Click here to bet
Fulham are currently 13th on the log, but on a run of three consecutive losses, most recently going down 3-0 away to Bournemouth. Their last home game was a 2-0 defeat to Burnley and they haven’t scored in their last 3 matches, it seems crazy because their 2 previous games were 5-0 victories. Fulham have won 5 and drawn 4 of 9 home matches this season.
Arsenal are 2nd on the log, but are coming off a disappointing 2-0 home loss to West Ham. Prior to that they drew 1-1 away at Liverpool. Arsenal have played 9 matches on the road this season winning 5, drawing 2 and losing 2. Those losses have both come in their last 5 games.
The reverse fixture finished 2-2 at Arsenal earlier this season and Arsenal won here 3-0 last season.
Arsenal are a short priced 4/7 for the win and I am looking for a low scoring game here and under 2.5 goals would have arrived in Arsenal’s last 4 matches while Fulham are struggling to find the back of the net.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 11/10
Tottenham v Bournemouth – Click here to bet
Tottenham are 5th on the log, but coming off a 4-2 away defeat to Brighton. Their last home game was a 2-1 win over Everton and they have won 6 and drawn 3 of their home matches this season.
Bournemouth are one of the form sides in the Division at the moment and they are up to 12th on the log after going 7 games without defeat and winning 6 of those. Last time out they beat Fulham 3-0 at home for a 4th consecutive win. Their last away game was a 3-2 win over Nottingham. Bournemouth have won their last 4 away matches and that after not getting a win in their first 5 away games.
Tottenham won this fixture 2-0 at Bournemouth earlier in the season and last season it was the away team which won 3-2 on each occasion.
Tottenham are 8/10 for the win with Bournemouth 3/1 and the draw 33/10.
Goals are expected and over 2.5 goals is trading at 4/10 and I am certainly in agreement with the bookmakers in this one and I am going to bet that we get 4 goals or more.
Suggested Bet: over 3.5 goals at 1/1
