SATURDAY
LUTON TOWN v NOTTINGHAM FOREST– Click here to bet
Luton Town hosts Forest this Saturday following a very strange midweek encounter against Bournemouth. After taking an impressive 3-0 lead into the break, it seemed they were destined for a rare victory and, more importantly, to exit the relegation zone. However, things took a dramatic turn in the second half, where The Hatters found themselves imploding and eventually succumbed to a 4-3 loss. Despite their aggressive intentions, this result leaves them still in 18th place on the log, having suffered five losses in their last six league appearances.
Nottingham Forest arrives at Kenilworth Road after yet another disappointing loss. Their 1-0 defeat to Brighton last week marks three straight defeats in the league and four losses in their last five EPL appearances. Currently sitting 17th on the table, they are teetering on the brink of the relegation zone, with just 3 points separating them from that scenario.
Over/Under
Six out of Luton’s last seven league appearances have resulted in over 2.5 goals landing with both teams finding the net in all seven.
Two out of Forests’ last five league appearances have resulted in over 2.5 goals arriving.
Head-To-Head
These two met up earlier in the season resulting in a 2-2 draw on the day.
Very little separates these two teams in the league and the fact that there are just three points between them emphasizes the significance of the fixture. If Luton can overthrow Forest by a comfortable margin, they will have an opportunity to exit the bottom three, providing strong incentive. The Hatters are aware that time is running out for them and with five home games left this season, they will be eager to make each one count if they are to avoid the dreaded drop.
Recommended Bet: Full Time Result, Luton Town at 18/10
BURNLEY v BRENTFORD– Click here to bet
Last weekend’s performance from Burnley surprised many as they captured a point in a 2-2 draw away against West Ham. After going 2-0 up before the break, the Clarets seemed well on their way to securing three massive points. However, the Hammers had other ideas, scoring almost immediately after the break, followed by a 90th-minute equalizer. Despite dropping points like that, Burnley will take heart in the fact that it demonstrated a statement of intent, showing they will not go down quietly.
Sitting 19th in the table and facing relegation, Vincent Kompany and his charges will aim to build on their recent draw. Concern arises from their home record, which is the worst in the league with only 5 points and a minus 21 goal difference this season.
Brentford visits Turf Moor on the back of a 2-1 loss away to Arsenal last weekend. It was a brave effort from the Bees, considering how Arsenal has dominated their recent games. The Gunners required an 86th-minute goal to overcome a stubborn Brentford outfit. Currently 15th on the table, Brentford knows that more must be done to avoid getting dragged into a relegation scrap, as only 5 points separate them from the bottom three. Recent form shows terrible stats on the domestic front, with just one draw and four losses in their last five appearances.
Over/Under
Six out of Burnley’s last seven league appearances have resulted in over 2.5 goals landing.
Four out of Brentford’s last five league encounters have resulted in over 2.5 goals arriving.
Head-To-Head
Brentford won the reverse fixture 3-0 this season and Burnley won 3-1 in this fixture last season.
With ten games remaining, each fixture will profoundly impact where these two sides will play next season. Neither side can afford a loss here, given their recent run of form. It’s the kind of game where I can see both sides cancelling each other out, given the match’s importance. While statistics suggest goals, as we all know, games are not played on paper.
Recommended Bet: Double Chance And Totals, Burnley or Draw And Under 3.5 at 14/10
SUNDAY
WEST HAM v ASTON VILLA – Click here to bet
West Ham were left a little shell-shocked last weekend, needing a late dramatic equalizer from Ings to secure a 2-2 draw at home against Burnley. Moyes would have targeted this game as a potential three-pointer, knowing how important it is to obtain maximum points at home if they are to qualify for Europe next season. Currently 7th on the table, The Hammers have had a steady campaign thus far, but more will be required if they are to apply pressure on those above them. In terms of the league, West Ham have managed to obtain six points from their last three games, with two wins along with their most recent draw.
Aston Villa visit London Stadium on the back of a disappointing 4-0 loss at home to Spurs. More was expected from The Villains given how consistent they have been this season. That result means they are now only two points ahead of Tottenham in terms of Champions League placing, but most importantly, they are still in 4th place on the table. This loss has ended their recent three-game winning streak in the league. Head coach Unai Emery will have to start again in order to garner momentum going into the last ten games of the season.
Over/Under
West Ham’s last three league appearances have resulted in over 2.5 goals arriving making it now five from their last six in the EPL.
Aston Villa’s last seven league appearances have resulted in over 2.5 goals arriving.
Head-To-Head
Aston Villa won the reverse fixture 4-1 this season with these two drawing 1-1 in this fixture last season.
Both sides go into this game on the back of disappointing results and their recent trend of conceding goals has also been consistent between the two. West Ham have shipped in at least one goal in their last 8 EPL appearances, while Villa has done the same in their last 5 league outings. There’s a slight preference towards Aston Villa, but considering their recent form, both teams finding the net is an option worth pursuing too.
Recommended Bet: Double Chance And Both Teams To Score, Aston Villa Or Draw And Yes at 11/10
