BOURNEMOUTH v LUTON TOWN – Click here to bet
Bournemouth, currently 13th on the table, would have been disappointed with their recent performance. The Cherries cut a very frustrating figure this past weekend, having fought back from a 2-0 deficit against league strugglers, Sheffield United to clinch a 2-2 draw at Vitality Stadium. Truthfully, the Cherries would have targeted this game as a potential 3-point banker given how the Blades have fared in general this season. In the post-match interview, head coach Iraola emphasized what everyone was thinking, stating that the draw was simply not good enough.
Bournemouth will have another opportunity to recover, this time facing relegation candidates Luton. At home, the Cherries have shown their mettle, despite only averaging 1.07 goals overall and losing twice in their last seven league games at Vitality Stadium. There have been a few surprising scalps taken along the way as well, making it a very difficult place to visit.
Luton Town heads towards Vitality Stadium this Wednesday, hoping to exit the bottom 3 after pulling off a surprising late draw against Palace in their last outing. The Hatters are currently placed 18th on the table, with just 3 points separating them from potentially exiting the relegation zone.
Averaging 1.30 goals per game away from home this season suggests they do have attacking threats at their disposal and they also have the ability to frustrate, as evident in their last outing. However, backing that up with consistency and averaging 2.30 goals per game in the back of their net will be cause for concern, knowing they have only registered two wins and succumbed to seven defeats on their travels this season.
This particular fixture was abandoned earlier in the season. At the time of play, it was all square at 1-1 before Luton Town’s captain collapsed on the field.
Both teams enter this fixture with something to prove. Bournemouth seems to have lost their way a bit and knows how important it is to perform better at home. Luton will want to avoid defeat at all costs, knowing that their objective this season is Premiership survival. It will be an emotional night, more so for the Hatters. Therefore, a chance is taken that Luton comes away with something in light of what transpired when these two originally met earlier on.
Recommended Bet: Double Chance, Draw Or Luton Town at 15/10
