There are 6 DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Wednesday and we suggest a bet in each of them.
Let’s start with a quick betting update where Mamelodi Sundowns are now trading as 1/5 to win yet another title.

Polokwane City v Mamelodi Sundowns – Click here to bet
Polokwane have made a decent start to life in the DSTV Premiership and they currently sit 5th on the log with 2 wins and 2 losses in their opening 4 matches. They went down 3-2 away to Golden Arrows last time out, but their two home games have both been victories, 3-1 against Cape Town Spurs and 1-0 over Stellenbosch.
Mamelodi Sundowns have played 5 matches getting a maximum return to sit 5 points clear at the top of the table at the time of writing. After conceding two goals in their opening 2 matches they have been backed to their miserly best and haven’t conceded in their last 3 games, most recently coming off a 1-0 away win over Richards Bay meaning they are 3 from 3 on the road this season.
Sundowns are predictably short to win this game at 4/10 and while I wouldn’t bet against them I think that Polokwane showed enough in front of goals to suggest that they can get on the score sheet and I am going to back both teams to find the back of the net.
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 14/10

AmaZulu v TS Galaxy
AmaZulu are currently 14th on the log with 3 points from 4 matches, but still looking for their first victory. They were hammered 3-0 at Kaizer Chiefs in their last start and prior to that all 3 of their matches including 2 home games had finished goalless so AmaZulu themselves are without a goal in their opening 4 matches.
TS Galaxy are sitting 3rd on the table and suffered their first defeat of the season when they went down 1-0 at Royal AM last time out. There have only been 3 goals in total in TS Galaxy’s 4 matches.
TS Galaxy won this fixture 2-1 last season, but for me the way both these sides are struggling to score the 0-0 draw has to be the play here.
Suggested Bet: Correct Score 0-0 at around 9/2 (no prices on this game at the time of writing)
Chippa United v Royal AM – Click here to bet
Chippa United are 9th on the log with just 1 win in their opening 5 matches, which came last time out away to Cape Town Spurs where they won 1-0. At home this season Chippa United have lost 1 and drawn 2 with that loss coming in their last home match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Royal AM are 13th on the log after a slow start, but they got their first victory last time out beating TS Galaxy 1-0 at home. On the road this season they have played once losing 4-2 to Pirates.
Two of the last 3 matches between these sides have been drawn and I think we are in for another tight one.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 2/1
Richards Bay v Sekhukhune United – Click here to bet
Richards Bay has taken 1 point from the opening 4 they have played for and they are sitting 15th on the log. They put up a brave fight last time out going down 1-0 at home to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sekhukhune are 7th on the log with 2 wins and 2 losses in their opening 4 games and they beat Cape Town City 1-0 on the road last time out. They have won both their away games this season.
Given Sekhukhune’s away form and Richards Bay’s troubles in front of goals I am quite happy to back the visitors to take the 3 points here
Suggested Bet: Sekhukhune United win at 31/20
Stellenbosch v Kaizer Chiefs – Click here to bet
Stellenbosch have got 6 points from a possible 12 with 2 wins and 2 losses. They lost 1-2 at home to SuperSport United last time out and their other home game was a 1-0 victory over Pirates in the opening weekend of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs are 11th on the log, but they got their first win in 4 matches when they hammered AmaZulu 3-0 at home in their last start. On the road they have lost to TS Galaxy and Mamelodi Sundowns each time by a solitary goal.
Chiefs did the double over Stellenbosch last season and I am sticking my neck out and going for another away victory here.
Suggested Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 18/10
Swallows v Cape Town Spurs – Click here to bet
Swallows are sitting on 4 points from 3 matches having got their first victory last time out when they beat Sekhukhune 2-1 on the road. Their only home game was a 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City.
Cape Town Spurs are finding life very tough in the DSTV Premiership and they have lost all 4 of their opening matches, most recently going down 1-0 at home to Chippa United. Their away games were losses to Polokwane and TS Galaxy.
I am not going to get too fancy here, Swallows should be too strong at home for Cape Town Spurs.
Suggested Bet: Swallows win at 15/20
