Croatia and Spain meet in the UEFA Nations League Final in the Netherlands on Saturday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
CROATIA
Croatia were 33/10 underdogs heading into their match against the Netherlands, but after going down 1-0 in the first-half they came back to lead 2-1 and looked to have done the job in regulation time until the Netherlands equalised in the 96th minute. That forced extra time where Croatia took the lead early and then finished it off with a Luka Modric penalty kick with just 4 minutes left to play. The final score was 4-2 to Croatia.
Prior to their semi-final Croatia had won 4 matches in a row in the Nations League and in the EURO 2024 qualification they had drawn at home to Wales and beaten Turkey on the road, both of those games taking place in March of this year.
SPAIN
Spain were favourites in their semi-final against Italy and they got the job done despite seeing their 3rd minute strike cancelled out and their 11th minute by Italy and it was Joselu who popped up with the 88th minute winner for a 2-1 victory for the Spanish.
Spain had booked their semi-final spot with a 1-0 away win over Portugal in September of last year. In more recent action they beat Norway 3-0 at home in a EURO 2024 qualifier before a shock defeat away to Scotland 2-0.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides last met in EURO 2020 when Spain won 5-3 in extra time in the Round of 16.

Croatia 11/4
Draw 26/10
Spain 21/20
This Croatia team is full of fight and I can see another game going to extra time.
Suggested Bet: The Draw at 26/10
Goals flowed freely in the semi-finals and I wouldn’t be surprised if we have another exciting match and I am going to bet that we get 3 goals or more.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 1/1
There are plenty of other markets such as the 90 minute Correct Score where I fancy 2-2 at 14/1 and there are also markets such as First Goal Scorer where Alvaro Morata and Mato Joselu are trading as 5/1 joint favourites.
