The URC promises some exciting matches this weekend and we will look at the Lions vs Zebre, the Bulls vs Connacht, and the Sharks vs the Dragons from a betting point of view.
LIONS v ZEBRE – Click here to bet
The Lions have had a shaky start to the championship, losing 4 of their 5 matches so far, however, all of their losses have been by small margins. They currently sit in 11th on the log, and they managed to pick up their only win 2 weeks ago, edging a 24-23 point final score over the Scarlets, in Wales. The Lions took on Ulster away last Friday, losing the game by 7 points, and with them playing at home this weekend they will look to turn their season around.
Zebre currently sit 10th on the URC standings, after losing 3 matches, drawing 1, and winning 1 match so far. They pulled off a big home win over the Sharks in week 4 to break a lengthy drought. This improved performance carried into their game last weekend where they drew 22-22 at home to Cardiff. Zebre will look to maintain the improved form they have shown this season.
Handicap: Lions -15.5
The Lions can pull clear in the 2nd half as Zebre wilt in the heat and altitude.
Suggested Bet: Lions -15.5

BULLS v CONNACHT – Click here to bet
The Bulls are sitting in 7th on the log after winning 3 and losing 2 of their 5 matches. They look to be building a promising season, with some big-margin wins already in the bag. The Bull’s most recent game took place in Scotland, where they were defeated by Edinburgh, losing the match 31-23. They will however enter this game as the favourites and will look to get on the right side of the draw again in front of the Loftus faithful.
Connacht have had a solid start to the campaign, winning 4 of their matches, with only 1 loss, which leaves them 4th in the rankings. Connacht won their first 3 games against some top teams in the championship, including the Glasgow Warriors and Ulster, who currently sit in 2nd and 3rd on the log. Their only loss has come against Edinburgh, where they lost by 3 points away from home, with the match ending 25-22 and they stunned the Sharks in Durban last weekend.
Handicap: Bulls -14.5
The Bulls can put away a Connacht side missing some key players.
Suggested Bet: Bulls -14.5 at 17/20
SHARKS v DRAGONS – Click here to bet
The Sharks have been poor so far, losing all 5 of their games and as a result, they sit last on the log in 16th position. They started off with fixtures against the top sides of Munster and Leinster, losing both by more than a converted try. Their last game ended in a 12-13 loss against Connacht last weekend.
The Dragons are sitting 2 places above the Sharks on the log, in 14th position, having lost 4 of their games winning 1. That came last week over the Ospreys, ending the game with a scoreline of 20-5 last Saturday in front of their delighted fans. This weekend will be a challenge for the Dragons as they travel away to South Africa, and they will be looking to deal the Sharks their 6th consecutive loss.
Handicap: Sharks -18.5
The Sharks have been expensive to follow but they should be able to hammer the Dragons.
Suggested Bet: Sharks -18.5 at 9/10
