Their recent performances has been lacklustre, with just one win in the last five matches. Last weekend, they travelled to Edinburgh and suffered a heavy defeat, losing the match 43-18.
Sitting 13th on the table, the Sharks are one spot ahead of the Scarlets with 18 points, having also won 3 of their 14 matches. After a slow start to the season, the Sharks have found some form and are aiming for a late push to secure a top 8 finish. They have won their last five matches across all competitions, with their most recent victory being a 36-30 win against Edinburgh in the EPRC Challenge Cup quarterfinal.
The last encounter between the two sides was in last year’s URC, where the Scarlets emerged victorious with a 32-20 score.
The Sharks are the favourites to win the upcoming match, trading at 1.28, while the Scarlets are at 4.50. The current handicap is Sharks [-8.5] at 1.85. Given their recent form, the Sharks are expected to have the advantage over the Scarlets.
