BLUES vs BRUMBIES – Click here to bet
The Blues have had a tough start to their campaign, losing 2 and winning 1 of their games to put them in 8th on the log with a points difference of -15.
They took on the Hurricanes at Wellington Regional Stadium last weekend and despite being behind with a few minutes to play they crossed the line and won the match 33-29.
The Brumbies have battled to get going this season, currently in 7th overall with a points difference of -14 after 3 matches of which they’ve won 1 and lost 2.
They took on the Chiefs last weekend where they put up a proper fight in the first half, but things then slipped away and they lost by 15 points on the road.
Head-to-Head
The Blues have won their 2 most recent games against the Brumbies with the latest a 34-20 win at home in June.
Betting and Verdict
Blues are 1.28 with Brumbies at 4.30 and the draw 34.00.
Handicap: Blues [-12.5]
I am expecting the Blues to tighten up on defence such a strong point of their game last season

SATURDAY
FIJIAN DRUA vs CHIEFS – Click here to bet
Fijian Drua are in 10th on the table after 3 nail-biting matches which they have narrowly lost, picking up a losing bonus point on each occasion.
They clashed with the Waratahs last Friday and despite being ahead with not much time to play they let things slip and lost 29-24 at Allianz Stadium.
The Chiefs have had a superb start to the tournament, remaining undefeated after 3 games with a points difference of +51.
They went head-to-head with the Brumbies last weekend and after a tight first half they ran in a few brilliant tries to win the match by 15 points at home.
Head-to-Head
The Chiefs have won all 3 head-to-head games against the Drua, with the most recent game a year ago ending 46-29 on home soil.
Betting and Verdict
Chiefs are priced at 1.37 with Fijian Drua at 3.60 and the draw 31.00.
Handicap: Fijian Drua [+8.5]
The Chiefs are likely to rotate and the Drua will be no pushovers at home. I think this one could be tight and am betting we get 61 points or less.
BET: Under 61.5 points at 1.91
MOANA PASIFIKA vs HURRICANES – Click here to bet
Moana Pasifika are last on the log, losing their opening 3 games although some of them have been defeats by a small margin.
Their last match saw them push the Highlanders right until the end and unfortunately, they lost by a mere 2 points with a scoreline of 29-31 at North Harbour Stadium.
The Hurricanes have struggled to find the dominant form that they possessed last year, losing 2 and winning 1 of their games which leaves them in 6th place overall.
Things were looking good for them against the Blues last weekend, but they could not hold them out and lost in an epic match which ended 33-29.
Head-to-Head
The last 4 clashes between these sides have seen the Hurricanes victorious, the last time they met was in May 2024 where the scoreline was 32-24.
Betting and Verdict
Hurricanes are trading at 1.30 with Moana Pasifika at 3.90 and the draw 34.00.
Handicap: Moana Pasifika [+10.5]
I think the points will flow in this one and will bet that we get 65 points or more.
BET: Over 64.5 points at 1.95
WARATAHS vs WESTERN FORCE – Click here to bet
The Waratahs have started their season with wins in both their games which leaves them in 5th on the log with a points difference of +6.
They met with the Fijian Drua last weekend and after a well contested, back and forth fixture the scoreline showed a 5-point victory for the Waratahs at home.
The Western Force have performed well across their 3 matches to kick off their campaign and they are in 4th on the log after winning 2 and losing 1 of their encounters.
They hosted the Reds in round 3 of the competition and after yet another nail-biter the game concluded in a 28-to-24-point loss for the home side.
Head-to-Head
Of their last 5 encounters, the Waratahs have won 3 with the Force winning the remaining 2. The latest match ended in a 27-7 win for Western Force at home last year.
Betting and Verdict
Waratahs are favourites at 1.36 with the Force at 3.70 and the draw trading at 29.00.
Handicap: Waratahs [-8.5]
The Force have shown they are a decent side on the road and I am backing them to beat this handicap.
BET: Handicap, Force +8.5 at 1.90
SUNDAY
CRUSADERS vs REDS – Click here to bet
The Crusaders are in 9th position overall after two fixtures due to winning 1 and losing 1. They are on 4 points just 1 point ahead of the Fijian Drua, however, they have played one match less.
They had a bye in round 3 and prior to that they suffered a 49-24 loss to the Chiefs on the road.
The Reds have a solid squad this year and they are in 2nd place after 2 games. The only thing separating them from 3rd and 4th place on the log is their positive points difference of +24.
They picked up their second win of the competition last weekend in their 4-point triumph over the Western Force on opposition ground.
Head-to-Head
Crusaders have had a clear edge in recent times, but their last meeting went the way of the Reds who won 33-28 away from home.
Betting and Verdict
Crusaders are priced at 1.33 with the Reds trading at 3.70 and the draw at 29.00.
Handicap: [-8.5]
This Reds team have impressed me and I think they can push the home team all of the way.
BET: Handicap Reds +8.5 at 1.95
