The Chiefs are in 2nd place on the log with impressive form which has seen them win 5 and lose 1 of their 6 matches, they are just one point behind the Reds in 1st.
They had a bye in round 7 and prior to that they took on Moana Pasifika in week 6 and won 50-35, almost blowing a massive half time lead.
The Reds have moved into 1st overall and they are on 23 points with a points difference of +30. They have won 5 and lost 1 match, while picking up 3 bonus points.
The Reds took on Western Force in Brisbane a week ago and despite it being a nail biter, they were able to get it done in the end and win the fixture 28-24.

SATURDAY
MOANA PASIFIKA vs WARATAHS – Click here to bet
Moana Pasifika have won 2 and lost 4 of their games and they sit 9th on the log.
They stunned the Crusaders in round 7 winning on the road, despite starting 25 point underdogs.
The Waratahs have had a decent start to their campaign, winning 4 and losing 2 of their matches which puts them in 5th on the table.
They were unable to get into the game against a talented Hurricanes side last week and this resulted in a 57-12 beating on the road.
Head-to-Head
These sides have met 3 times in Super Rugby over recent years and Moana Pasifika hold the advantage currently after winning 2 of these, with the Waratahs claiming 1 win. Their last meeting was in May last season where Moana Pasifika won 27-12.
Betting and Verdict
Moana Pasifika are trading at 1.85 with the Waratahs at 2.15 and the draw at 26.00
Handicap: Moana Pasifika [-1.5]
The total points line is 66.5 and overs backers would have collected in 5 of the 6 Moana mathes this season. I expect the points to flow.
BET: Total Points over 66.5 at 1.91
FIJIAN DRUA vs CRUSADERS – Click here to bet
Fijian Drua are on 7 points with a points difference of -63 which leaves them in 11th spot on the log.
Prior to last weeks bye they went head-to-head with Western Force and lost by 37 points on opposition turf.
The Crusaders are in 3rd on the table after beginning their season with 4 wins and 2 losses. They have a points difference of +36 which seperates them from the Brumbies in 4th.
They lost 45-29 at home to Moana Pasifika last week in the biggest upset of the season so far.
Head-to-Head
These sides come into this weekend even in terms of head-to-head matchups with them each winning 2 of the 4 games. Fijian Drua won their last clash 20-10 at home last season.
Betting and Verdict
Fijian Drua are priced at 2.50 with the Crusaders 1.66 and the draw at 26.00
Handicap: Fijian Drua [+3.5]
This game could well go down to the wire and I am backing the visitors to get back on track with a narrow win.
BET: Winning Margin Spread Crusaders 1-5 at 5.50
BLUES vs HURRICANES – Click here to bet
The Blues have been unable to find the quality form they were on, a season ago and are in 10th overall after winning 1 and losing 5 games.
They had a bye in round 7 but prior to that they took on the Crusaders in round 6 and were dominated 42-19 in front of a home crowd.
The Hurricanes have had an inconsistent run in the league this year and after 6 fixtures they have 3 wins and 3 losses to their name. They are in 7th on the table.
Their most recent clash was their fixture against the Waratahs last weekend, hammering them 57-12 in Wellington.
Head-to-Head
The Blues have claimed most of the wins over the last few years when they have met with the Hurricanes and the last time they played was early in March where the Blues edged the Hurricanes 33-29 away from home.
Betting and Verdict
The Blues are trading at 1.60 followed by the Hurricanes at 2.63 and the draw at 26.00
Handicap: Blues [-4.5]
The total points line is 56.5 and although overs would of arrived in the last 2 matches between the sides I am expecting a tight tussle between 2 desperate teams.
BET: Under 56.5 points at 1.91
WESTERN FORCE vs HIGHLANDERS – Click here to bet
Western Force remain in the middle of the table in 6th place, losing 4 and winning 3 of their matches.
They had to settle for a 4-point loss in round 7 when they met with the Reds away from home and were beaten 28-24 with all of their points coming from the boot.
The Highlanders sit on 2 wins and 4 losses and they sit 8th on the log just in the playoff spots.
Their match in round 7 saw them take on the Brumbies away and they lost a close match by 7 points.
Head-to-Head
In these sides last 5 meetings, the Highlanders have been triumphant 4 times, with the Force picking up just 1 win. They clashed last season in an extremely low scoring match that ended 7-6 in favour of the Highlanders on home soil.
