The Super Rugby 2025 regular season comes to an end this weekend with Round 16 taking place and five fixtures being held across the course of Friday and Saturday and below we look at the two matches kicking off on Friday the 30th of May.

The Highlanders head into their final match this weekend in last place on the log due to winning 3 and losing 10 of their 13 matchups and they can no longer qualify for the playoffs.
They went head-to-head with the Crusaders a week ago where the match was well contested but, in the end, they fell 3-points short losing 15-12 away from home.
The Chiefs are well positioned in 1st place on the table where they have been for the majority of the season, they are 1 point ahead of the Crusaders, who are in 2nd place. A win of any kind here would secure top spot.
They once again proved they are a well-oiled side who have the potential to lift the trophy when they met with Moana Pasifika on Saturday and obliterated them 85-7 at home.
Head-to-Head
The last 5 times these sides have encountered one another, the Chiefs have been triumphant. Their most recent head-to-head action was in April where the Chiefs pumped the Highlanders 46-10 on home ground.

The Chiefs enter the weekend as favourites at 1.20 with the Highlanders at 5.50 and the draw at 41.00.

The Brumbies have had a successful run this season during their road to the playoffs, they sit on 43 points on the log, currently in 3rd, with the Hurricanes 9 points behind them. They have played a total of 13 games, coming out on top of 9 of them while losing the remaining 4.
They had a bye in Round 15 of the competition and prior to that they encountered the Reds where they battled it out to win 24-14 on home soil.
The Crusaders have not always looked their best this season but they are very much in contention. They have won 10 while losing just 3 of their 13 matches. They are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs but need to void defeat here to avoid giving up 2nd spot to the Brumbies.
Their last clash saw the Highlanders push them right to the wire at home, but they did enough to edge out a 15-12 victory.
Head-to-Head
The Crusaders have dominated the Brumbies over recent years, winning 4 of their 5 games with the Brumbies winning just once. However the last time they met was just over a year ago when the Brumbies put in a stellar performance to take the game 31-24 at home.
Betting and Verdict
This game is well matched in terms of the betting odds with the Crusaders trading at 1.95 to win, the Brumbies are slightly longer at 2.05 and the draw 26.00.

I think this will be a tight game but the Brumbies are formidable at home and can grab a win by 12 points or less.
