The Hurricanes continue to turn their season around and they are in 6th on the table after 11 games of which they have won 5, lost 5 and drawn 1. They are trailing the Blues in 5th by just 1 point.
They had a bye last weekend but prior to that they took on the Chiefs at home and pulled off an impressive 35-17 upset win.
The Highlanders have battled to maintain any kind of winning form throughout their 2025 campaign which results in them being positioned in 10th overall after losing 8 and winning just 3 of their matches.
They were given a rest in Round 13 and two weeks ago they suffered a narrow 5-point loss to Moana Pasifika at home.
Head-to-Head
In terms of head-to-head, the Hurricanes have not lost to the Highlanders in 4 years, and are currently on an 8-game winning streak. The last time they met was in March and the Hurricanes narrowly won the game 20-18.

The Waratahs have battled for consistency and they are currently in 8th on the log and in for a hard road if they want to make the playoffs (top 6).
They went head-to-head with the Reds in Round 13 and although they gave their best efforts in front of their own supporters, they lost the game 28-21.
The Crusaders have fallen back on the log after their performance last week which now puts them in 3rd place after winning 8 and losing 3 of their fixtures.
They were tied with the Chiefs on 37-points heading into their clash last weekend, however, after losing the game 35-19 at home and the Brumbies winning their match, they have dropped down a spot on the table.
Head-to-Head
The Waratahs surprisingly hold a slight advantage over the two sides in recent years, winning 3 of their last 5 games while the Crusaders have won two. They met most recently in April 2024 where the game was drawn 40-40 after 80 minutes, they then went into extra time where the Waratahs edged a 43-40 triumph.
