FIJIAN DRUA vs WESTERN FORCE – click here to bet
The Fijian Drua side currently sit in 8th position on the log after winning 2 and losing 3 of their 5 games so far. After picking up their first 20-10 win in round 3 against the Crusaders, they lost to the Chiefs in round 4 by 17 points. They then went head-to-head with the Waratahs in last weekend’s match that saw the Drua side pick up a narrow 3-point win in overtime with the final score being 39-36.
The match this weekend is set to take place in Fiji which will play to their favour as both their wins this season have been in front of home crowds and the Drua will enter as favourites in the betting markets.
The Western Force have had a poor start in the first 5 rounds of the competition leaving them in second last place on the log after winning just 1 game and losing 4 so far. After catching big losses in rounds 1 and 2, the Force have started to improve and their games in round 3 and 4 ended in losses but by much smaller margins indicating improvement.
Last weekend’s match saw the Force pick up their first win of the tournament so far when they beat the Reds 40-31. Although they have been in better form, they enter the match as underdogs from a betting angle.
Handicap: Fijian Drua -11.5
Suggested Bet: Western Force Total – over 21.5 at 1.80
After scoring 40 points last weekend this looks a great bet if they can hold form.
MOANA PASIFIKA vs BLUES – click here to bet
Moana Pasifika are in 9th place in the rankings this season after winning 2 and losing 3 of their 5 games as of yet. After looking good in round 4 when they beat the Force, the Pasifika side struggled last weekend when they took on the Brumbies and suffered a 60-21 beating.
Taking on the Blues away from home this weekend will definitely be a challenge for them and after a big defeat in last weekend’s round a lot of improvement is needed.
The Blues have been impressive this season, winning 4 and losing 1 of their matches in the competition which leaves them sitting comfortably in 4th on the log. After started their campaign with a win in the first 2 rounds, they faced a narrow defeat to Hurricanes in round 3, however since then they have been back on perfect form winning the next 2 games.
Last weekend saw the Blues dominating the Crusaders side and winning the match comfortably, with the final score being 26-6. They will have the betting odds in their favour for this game.
Handicap: Moana Pasifika +21.5
Suggested Bet: Total Points – over 62.5 at 2.10
I believe the tries will flow in from both sides in this game.

HIGHLANDERS vs HURRICANES – click here to bet
The Highlanders sit in 6th on the Super Rugby log after starting well and winning 2 of their first 3 matches, however since then they have just lost 2 matches in a row, losing to the Brumbies in round 4 by 6 points and their match last weekend ended in a 7-point loss to the Chiefs.
They meet the side topping the log this weekend and they will need to be on top class form if they are to halt the Hurricanes winning streak.
The Hurricanes have been flawless across the first 5 rounds, and they are still yet to lose a game this season. Interestingly their closest encounter so far was in their 4-point win over the Crusaders who currently sit in last place on the log. Last weekend they played the Rebels and had no problems cruising to a 54-28 win.
They will enter the game this weekend as big favourites to win the match and continue the winning streak they have formed.
Handicap: Highlanders +8.5
Suggested Bet: Winning Margin – Hurricanes by 15+ at 14/10
I believe the Hurricanes have looked simply too good in the competition so far and I see them dominating the Highlanders this weekend.
REDS vs BRUMBIES – click here to bet
The Reds have looked to be in good from this season and they sit in 5th place on the log having won 3 and lost 2 of their games so far. Round 3 saw them pick up a big win over the Chiefs and they carried that skillset into their game in Round 4 where they beat the Rebels comfortably.
They took on the Force last weekend where they fell apart and could not justify favouritism, losing the match by 9 points.
The Brumbies have been amongst the top of the table since the get go and they have picked up 4 wins, only suffering 1 loss to the Chiefs in round 2. Since then, they have won 3 games in a row, just beating the Force in round 3 and then edging the Highlanders by 6 points in round 4.
Their last match saw a brilliant display of skill from the Brumbies in their dominant 60-21 win over Moana Pasifika. Although they have been in solid form they will enter as the dark horse in the betting markets this weekend.
Handicap: Reds -3.5
Suggested Bet: Race to 10 points – Brumbies at 2.00
Although they enter as the underdogs for the match, I believe they will outplay the Reds early on and can get off to a quick start.
