CHIEFS vs BRUMBIES – Click here to bet
The Chiefs have had a flawless start to their 2025 campaign and after two games they are 1st on the log, with 9 points and a points difference of +36.
They went head-to-head with the Crusaders last weekend and although the score was 17-17 at half time, they dominated the second half running in tries frequently to win 49-24.
The Brumbies are in 5th overall after winning 1 and losing 1 of their opening matches of the competition. They are on 5 points which includes a losing bonus point.
They played against Western Force a week ago at GIO Stadium and they were terrible early on allowing Force to build a good lead and although they came back in the 2nd half they lost the match 45-42.
Head-to-Head
Across their last three meetings the Chiefs have come out on top each time, winning the first one of 2023, 31-21 at GIO Stadium. The second matches scoreline was 19-6 to Chiefs in Hamilton and their most recent meeting ended in a 46-12 smashing from the Chiefs in Melbourne last season.
Betting and Verdict
Handicap: Chiefs [-14.5]
The Chiefs are trading at 1.16 with Brumbies at 6.00 and the draw at 41.00.
I expect this Chiefs team to be too strong for the Brumbies but the handicap is big enough to turn me to the points market and I like the Chiefs to score at least 38 points.

HURRICANES vs BLUES – Click here to bet
The Hurricanes have not had the start they would’ve hoped for and after two fixtures they sit in 7th on the table with 1 win and 1 loss. They are on 4 points overall with a points difference of -4.
The last time they took to the field was on Saturday when they met with Fijian Drua in a high scoring encounter in Napier. They were able to clinch a 4-point win in the end after a late try which resulted in a scoreline of 38-34.
The Blues do not seem to be on form or close to as good as they were last season and after two matches they are winless, currently in last place on the log with 0 points.
They clashed with the Highlanders last weekend and although the match was extremely close up until the end, they fell 8 points short, losing the game 29-21.
Head-to-Head
Across their last three matches, the Blues have won twice with the Hurricanes picking up the remaining game. In 2023 the Blues won 36-25 in Auckland and the game early last year resulted in a 29-21 Hurricanes win in Wellington. Their most recent fixture concluded with a narrow 31-27 win for the Blues at Eden Park in 2024.
Betting and Verdict
Handicap: Hurricanes [+3.5]
Blues are favourites priced at 1.66 with Hurricanes at 2.50 and the draw 26.00.
Points have flowed in Super Rugby but with both teams desperate for the win I am going to bet that we get 55 points or less in the game.
BET: Total Points under 55.5 at 1.85
WESTERN FORCE vs REDS – Click here to bet
The Western Force have started their campaign off on a high with two wins under their belt going into round 3. This leaves them on 8 points overall, sitting in 2nd.
They performed well against the Brumbies a week ago and despite opening up a huge lead and then letting their opponents back into the game, they were able to seal a 45-42 triumph when the final whistle sounded.
The Reds are in 3rd on the table after playing just 1 game so far due to having a bye in the first round. They are on 5 points after their bonus point win.
Their opening game of the season was against Moana Pasifika at home last Friday where they won the match 56-36.
Head-to-Head
These sides met in the 2023 season where the Reds claimed a 31-17 win in Brisbane. The following clash was in Perth, and it was won 40-31 by the Force. The third and most recent game saw the Reds hammer the Force 59-13 at the Suncorp Stadium in 2024.
Betting and Verdict
Handicap: Western Force [+8.5]
Reds are priced at 1.40 with the Force at 3.40 and the draw trading at 31.00.
I think this game will be tight and am not convinced it will reach the 66 point mark the bookies are suggesting. I am backing the Reds to win with 66 points or less in the game.
BET: Result and Totals – Reds and under 66.5 at 2.50
