Moana Pasifika v Reds – Click here to bet
Moana Pasifika is sitting in 9th place on the table with 9 points. They have played 7 matches so far, only managing to win 2. Currently, they have the worst points difference of any team at -143. Their two wins this season came against the Australian side, the Force, as well as the Fijian Drua. They were hammered 68-12 by the Chiefs away last week.
The Reds are sitting three spots higher in 6th place. They have only played 6 matches, winning 3 and losing 3. They have a points difference of 36. Their three wins came against the Waratahs, the Chiefs, and the Rebels and their last action was a 20-19 defeat to the Brumbies at home.
The last time these two teams met in Super Rugby, the Reds came out on top winning the match 28-40 away from home.
The Reds are favourites to win the match and are currently trading at 1.18, while Moana Pasifika are trading at 6.00.
The handicap at the time of writing is Reds [-14.5] at 1.90 and I think they will cover the handicap against a Pasifika team that seems to be in freefall.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Reds [-14.5] at 1.90.
Waratahs v Crusaders – Click here to bet
The Waratahs are sitting 10th on the table after winning only 1 of their 7 games so far this season. They are on 8 points, only 2 more than the Crusaders. Their sole win this season came against the Crusaders earlier this season where they won 24-37 in Christchurch and last week they went down 40-16 away to the Brumbies.
The Crusaders are sitting 11th on the table after finally securing a win this season. They beat the Chiefs 37-26 at home two weeks ago and had a bye last week. The Crusaders have played 6 matches so far this season, only winning 1 but they are still very much in playoff contention.
The two sides faced off earlier this year in Christchurch where the Waratahs managed to win the match 37-24 in Melbourne.
The Crusaders are favourites to win the match and are currently trading at 1.28, while the Waratahs are trading at 4.30 for the win.
The handicap at the time of writing is Waratahs [+10.5] at 1.90.
The Crusaders have finally made a step in the right direction and should use that bit of momentum to beat the Waratahs, however, the home team won’t go down without a fight and I think they beat the handicap.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Waratahs [+10.5] at 1.91
