The Springboks complete their mid-year Internationals against Northern Hemisphere opposition when they host Georgia at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday and we scan the betting markets for opportunities.
South Africa played Italy in Pretoria two weeks ago and although they started 40 point favourites they could only win 42-24. There was a similar handicap in last week’s match in Gqeberha but this time South Africa made no mistake winning 45-0.
Georgia hosted Ireland two weeks ago and given Ireland were missing a lot of players to the British and Irish Lions Tour, the result was a disappointing 34-5 loss. They then warmed up for this game with a clash against the Cheetahs last weekend where it was the Cheetahs who won 24-20 in Bloemfontein.
These sides last met in 2021 where South Africa won 40-9 at home.

South Africa 1.01
Draw 81.00
Georgia 26.00
Handicap: South Africa [-46.5]
We are still waiting for points lines on this game but for starters I am going to take an interest in the 1st try scorer market.
Georgia may have a strong pack but I don’t see them being any match for the Boks maul and Marnus Van Der Merwe can play the role of conductor and grab the 1st 5 pointer.
BET: Marnus Van Der Merwe 1st try at 10.00
