The Six Nations enters its final round for this year after being turned on its head last weekend as France hammered Ireland in Dublin. We look at the three matches from a betting angle and offer some suggested bets for consideration.
France are now heavy favourites to win the competition and are trading at 1.11 after their win over Ireland and they only need to beat Scotland at home to win the competition. England have jumped into second favourites to win and are trading at 9.00 while Ireland, who will need both the France and England games to go there way to have a chance, are trading at 21.00.
Wales are 1.36 to get the Wooden Spoon with Italy 3.00.

Italy were looking for a better performance last weekend as they headed to England but ended up losing the match 47-24 and the scoreline probably flattered them as England dropped their intensity when well clear. They have now only won one of their four matches so far in the competition.
Ireland had a disappointing round 4 and if it were not for some late consolation tries, they would have suffered an extremely embarrassing defeat to France at home. The match ended 27-42. This has been Ireland’s only loss of the competition, but because they did not secure a losing bonus point a France win over Scotland will mean they cannot defend their title.
Head-to-head
The last time Italy beat Ireland came back in 2013; the two sides have played each other 20 times since then. In last years Six Nations fixture, Ireland won the match 36-0 at home.
Betting and verdict
Ireland are favourites to win the match and are trading at 1.06 while Italy are trading at 11.00. The draw is currently at 61.00.
The total points line is 64.5.
Ireland will come out firing this weekend and will leave everything on the field in the hopes that the other two fixtures will go their way and so I can see them putting up a very big score against an Italian side that has taken 2 pretty bad beatings in succession.
Handicap: Ireland [-20.5]
Suggested bet: Handicap, Ireland [-20.5] at 1.91

Wales fell short yet again last weekend as they lost 35-29 away to Scotland to continue their losing streak. If we look a little closer, however, they have managed to turn things around somewhat since the departure of Gatland. Their last three matches have been lost by only 9 points or less while the three before that were lost by 32 points or more.
England pulled of their third win of the tournament last weekend against Italy as they won the match 47-24 to secure a bonus point and put themselves second on the table. While hopeful that France might slip up against Scotland realistically they will be looking to stay ahead of Ireland in 2nd.
Head-to-head
England have won four of their last five matches against Wales while Wales have won three of their last five home fixtures against England.
Betting and verdict
England are favourites to win the match and are trading at 1.30 while Wales are trading at 4.20. The draw is currently at 36.00.
The total points line is 59.5.
Wales have one last opportunity to break their losing streak and it will have to come with a performance against bitter rivals England. In their last three games we have seen them improve each time. It is only a matter of time before they win again and I think the home crowd as well as the hurt over the last two years should help them put up a massive fight against England.
Handicap: Wales [+10.5]
Suggested bet: Handicap, Wales [+10.5] at 1.90
France v Scotland – Click here to bet
France pulled off a win in Dublin that will go down in the history books as they beat Ireland 27-42 to put themselves in the driving seat to win the competition. Their only loss this season came against England where they lost that match 26-25 away from home, with England scoring in the final play of the game.
Scotland managed to come away with a win against Wales last weekend as they held on while Wales staged a brilliant comeback for the 2nd successive year. Scotland have only won two matches this Six Nations with wins coming against Wales and Italy.
Head-to-head
Last year’s match between the two sides ended 16-20 in favour of France in Scotland and that was their 3rd successive win over the Scots.
Betting and verdict
France are favourites to win the match and are trading at 1.12 while Scotland are trading at 8.00. The draw is currently at 46.00.
The total points line is set at 62.5
France have won their last five international matches at home. They know that all they need to do is win the match so that they can win the competition. Scotland will want to prove a point going into the last match and will give everything they’ve got. I can see France focussing more on the win and not running away with the game and for this reason I see the match being closer than many expect.
Handicap: Scotland [+16.5]
Suggested bet: Handicap, Scotland [+16.5] at 1.91
