England topped Pool D and have won all 4 of their pool matches. They started off by beating Argentina 27-10, then beat Japan 34-12, thumped Chile 71-0 and narrowly beat Samoa 18-17 in their most recent match a game where they were already guaranteed top spot in the group.
Fiji placed 2nd in Pool C behind Wales and have won 2 of their 4 pool matches. They started off with a 32-26 loss against Wales, then beat Australia 22-15, Georgia 17-12 and lost 24-23 to Portugal in an extremely tight match and the biggest upset of the World Cup to date as Fiji started -21.5.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have not played each other much but met last in a warmup match at Twickenham in August of this year Fiji caused an upset by beating England 30-22. England have won all 4 of their other previous head-to-head matches dating back to 1999, 2 of them being World Cup matches.
Handicap: England -8.5
Fiji didn’t really impress in their last two pool matches after beating the Wallabies but they will throw everything at an England side who were already assured of a quarter final place before riding their luck against Samoa. We take the view England will keep their points tally ticking over and go with them to score a total of 28 points or more in total.
Suggested Bet: England totals over 27.5 at 9/10

FRANCE VS SOUTH AFRICA – Click here to bet
France have had an excellent RWC so far. They have won all 4 of their pool matches, placing them at the top of Pool A. In top-class performance, they beat New Zealand 27-13, they then beat Uruguay 27-12, whacked Namibia 96-0, and finished off strong by thrashing Italy 60-7. At the time of writing it is not clear whether Dupont will start at 9 after being rushed back from injury.
South Africa finished 2nd in Pool B after winning 3 of their 4 pool matches. They beat Scottland 18-3 with a convincing performance and then annihilated Romania 76-0. Their winning streak was broken by Ireland who won 13-8 in what felt like a World Cup final atmosphere and SA then won 49-18 against Tonga in their most recent pool match to book their spot in the last 8.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides last met last year at the 2022 Autumn International where France beat SA 30-26. Of their most recent 6 head-to-head matches dating back to 2017, South Africa has won 5. They generally have relatively high-scoring matches with average total points of 49.3 per match.
Handicap: France -1.5
It would be no surprise to see this one go right down to the wire and that brings the “Tribet” into the equation. Whilst the hearts are with the Boks the smart betting interest here could be to go with either side to win by 6 points or less including the tie. For additional interest, we side with less than 22 points in total in the first half.
