There are two International Rugby matches taking place on Saturday the 2nd of November. England vs New Zealand at Allianz Stadium is first up followed by Scotland vs Fiji at Murrayfield. We will look at both games from a betting angle sharing a betting option in each.
ENGLAND vs NEW ZEALAND – click here to bet
England have taken part in 8 international fixtures this year and they have struggled to find consistent winning form, wining 4 and losing 4 of these matches.
The last time they played was on a tour to New Zealand in July, where they fell just short of a win on both occasions. They lost the first match 16-15 at the Forsyth Barr Stadium and the second match was also a nail biter that saw England up 4 points with 20 minutes to play, however, they could not hold out and they let in a try and two penalty kicks to lose the match by 7 points with a final scoreline of 24-17 to the hosts.
New Zealand have had a stacked second half of the year in terms of fixtures and they have played 10 games since July, winning 7 and losing 3 of the matches.
They participated in the Rugby Championships in August/September, where they were shocked in the first match which ended in a 38-30 defeat to Argentina in New Zealand. They then bounced back strongly and pumped the Argentines 42-10 a week later. Their next two clashes were on South African turf where they lost both matches narrowly, however, they finished the Championship well beating Australia twice.
Their most recent match was on Saturday the 26th, just a week ago in a friendly against Japan at the Nissan Stadium, where New Zealand came out on top with a 64-19 victory.
Handicap: England +3.5
Head-to-Head
These sides have met 3 times since 2018 on English soil and things are currently level, with New Zealand and England each winning one match. The third and most recent match was played at Twickenham (Now Allianz) Stadium in 2022 where the final score was a 25-25 draw.
Suggested Bet: England win at 2.65
The last couple of times when these sides have met the match has been tightly contested and I think England can stay in touch early and then kick on to get the win.

SCOTLAND vs FIJI – click here to bet
The Scottish side have played 9 games this season so far, and they have won 6 and lost 3.
Their last 4 fixtures have resulted in triumph, with the first being a 73-12 win over a weak Canadian side in July, a week later they went on to play the USA who they pumped 42-7. Their next encounter was against Chile on the 20th of July, where Scotland cruised to yet another easy victory, with the scoreboard showing 52-11 when the final whistle blew.
They have not played since the 27th of July when they met Uruguay away and they were given a run for their money winning 31-19.
Fiji’s most recent action was in the Pacific Nations Cup. The first fixture was on the 23rd of August in a group stage match against Samoa which Fiji won 42-16. They then advanced to their second group stage match where they put up a dominant performance against Tonga, pulling off a 50-19 win which put them through to the semi- finals. Fiji faced off against the USA in the semis and they remained on good form, putting 22 points on the board, with USA only being able to answer back with 3 points.
They played their latest fixture a week later when they encountered Japan in the final and showcased their talent, winning the match comfortably by 24 points to win the Cup.
Handicap: Scotland -20.5
Head-to-Head
Scotland have hosted Fiji just 3 times since 2018 and all of the matches have gone the way of Scotland. The latest clash was in 2022 in a friendly that Scotland hosted at Murrayfield and won 28-12.
Suggested Bet: 1st Try Scorer Darcy Graham at 8/1
The handicap looks well set and points lines will only be out closer to kick off. I am looking to go overs on points if priced under 60 as this should be an entertaining game.
For now though a bet on one of my favourite wingers the elusive Darcy Graham scoring the 1st try.
