Argentina
Argentina are bottom of the table after winning two of their five matches. They opened their campaign against New Zealand at home, losing the first match but bouncing back to make history with their first-ever home victory over the All Blacks in the second round. They then split wins with the Wallabies in Australia.
Their hopes of winning the title ended last week against South Africa. After holding their own in the first half, they faded badly after the break and ended up on the wrong side of a 67–30 scoreline.
Argentina Lineup
15 Santiago Carreras, 14 Bautista Delguy, 13 Justo Piccardo, 12 Santiago Chocobares, 11 Juan Cruz Mallia, 10 Geronimo Prisciantelli, 9 Simon Cruz Benitez, 8 Santiago Grondona, 7 Marcos Kremer, 6 Pablo Matera, 5 Pedro Rubiolo, 4 Guido Petti, 3 Joel Sclavi, 2 Julián Montoya (captain), 1 Mayco Vivas.

South Africa
South Africa sit top of the Rugby Championship table as they look to defend their crown. They split their opening two matches against Australia, then did the same against New Zealand in Rounds 3 and 4. Last weekend, they put on their most dominant performance of the year with a 67–30 demolition of Argentina a result that means barring a massive win for New Zealand in Perth they only need to win this game to be crowned back to back champions.

Betting and Verdict
South Africa 1.15 | Argentina 7.00 | Draw 34.00
Handicap: Argentina +12.5
South Africa’s display last weekend was their sharpest of 2025 and sets them up perfectly for the final round. They know a bonus-point win is enough to seal the Championship, and memories of their 35–7 hammering of New Zealand at Twickenham last year will add to their confidence.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, South Africa -12.5 at 1.85.
In last week’s bet we looked at how well Argentina have performed in the first-half over the Tournament, and we were correct. They were only behind by 2 points come the half-time whistle. I think we will see the same this weekend and am backing them to have the match in the balance come half-time.
Suggested Bet: First-Half Handicap, Argentina +6.5 at 1.85.
