Only four teams are left in this year’s European Champions Cup and this weekend will decide the two finalists. Leinster will host Northampton on Saturday while Harlequins travel to take on Toulouse on Sunday. We will take a look at the two matches from a betting angle.

Leinster remain favourites to win the competition and are trading at 1.91 while Toulouse follow just behind at 2.10. The two English sides are outside shouts in the bookies eyes and are trading at 15.00 (Northampton) and 34.00 (Harlequins).

Leinster v Northampton – Click here to bet

Leinster finished atop Pool 4, winning all four matches and advancing to the next round. They went on to defeat Leicester in the round of 16 and dominated La Rochelle in the quarter-finals, making it to the semi-finals. They are coming off a two-game losing streak in the URC during their tour in South Africa but fielded a weekend side to rest several key players for Saturday’s match.

Northampton topped Pool 3 by winning all four matches. They then faced Munster in the round of 16, winning 24-14 to advance. The Bulls travelled to Northampton for the quarter-finals, where Northampton triumphed 59-22. In their most recent fixture in the Gallagher Premiership, Northampton faced off against Harlequins but lost 41-32 on the road.

The last encounter between the two sides was in 2020, with Leinster winning 35-19 at home.

Leinster are heavy favourites to win the upcoming match, currently trading at 1.12, while Northampton’s odds stand at 7.50. The handicap at the time of writing is Leinster [-13.5].

Leinster has demonstrated their ability to score heavily in knockout rugby. Given that the match will be played at Croke Park, Dublin, the vibrant atmosphere and the talent of the Leinster side are expected to contribute to a comfortable victory.

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Leinster [-13.5] at 1.90.

Toulouse v Harlequins – Click here to bet

Toulouse finished atop Pool 2, winning all four matches. They comfortably defeated Racing 92 in the round of 16 and then delivered a resounding 64-26 victory over Exeter in the quarter-finals. Toulouse’s most recent fixture was a 32-12 home win against Racing 92 in the Top 14.

Harlequins, the only team left that did not top their pool, finished second in Pool 2 behind Toulouse, winning three of their four matches. They hosted Glasgow Warriors in the round of 16, eking out a narrow 28-24 win. Their quarter-final performance was memorable, they travelled to Bordeaux and secured a 41-42 victory. Their most recent result was a 41-32 win against Northampton at home.

The last time the two sides met was during the group stages of the competition, where Toulouse secured a 47-19 victory away from home.

Toulouse are the favourites to win the upcoming match, trading at 1.05, while Harlequins are at 12.00. The handicap at the time of writing is Harlequins [+18.5] at 1.95.

If any team is capable of causing an upset, it’s Harlequins. While an outright win seems unlikely, they have the potential to stay competitive throughout the match and make it a closer contest than expected.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Harlequins [+18.5] at 1.95
