WSB BEST BETS
Race 2 Teriyaki
A J Rivalland / R Fourie
He will go close to winning if he repeats either of his last two runs. Last time, he veered off course in the final 200m, costing him the victory. Richard Fourie takes the ride, making him the obvious choice. (see replay below)
Race 5 Cape Eagle
W A Nel / S Moodley
Andre Nel’s runner has been in good form with a win, a third, and two seconds over shorter distances, and he has been finishing races strongly. The step up in trip should suit him, I’m hoping he can outstay his rivals.
Race 7 Ponte Pietra
D Kannemeyer / C Zackey
Although he didn’t secure a win during his trip to the Western Cape, he demonstrated his ability against quality rivals. Prior to his departure, he showed impressive form at Scottsville, clinching victory twice over 1750m and 1950m. If he finds his form in familiar surroundings, he will come close to winning.
