Well we have all done our form studying, we have all had a look at the race and a look at the runners who have had the ideal prep, and I’m going for the 3yos in the main race. My first choice is going to be DAVE THE KING. There are serious question marks about the distance of 2200m. Well, he’s trained by the mighty Mike de Kock who has won this race five times and from what I saw last time out in the Daily News I have no issue with him seeing out the trip.
He’s better off at the weights with SEE IT AGAIN and this horse can sprint 1200m, he can go 1600m and she showed last time out 2000m is no issue. He’s got a nice profile for me the way he’s been brought into the race, a horse that will grab your attention in the ring, he has a big stride, and if he’s given a forward ride and gets things his own way, he could be the one to beat.
