The PGA Tour heads to Japan for this week’s tournament where the Narashino Country Club plays host.
Players are continuing to earn as many points as possible in order to keep their tour cards for next season and there are also a number of the top PGA Tour players that are returning for this week. We look at the tournament from a betting angle and select 4 players to take on the bookmakers.
Course
Narashino Country Club is located just 48km outside of Tokyo city centre and is rated one of the best courses in the country. The course is lined with trees and has numerous well-placed bunkers, ensuring accuracy will be key all week. The greens are smaller than tour average and so players will have to keep the ball in play from the tee box if they want any chance of hitting the green in regulation.
78 players will take to the 1st tee and there will be no 36 hole cut.

SELECTIONS:
Collin Morikawa at 7.50
Morikawa will be happy to return to Japan with good memories of his win last year. He has been on a short break after the Tour Championship that saw him finish runner-up behind Scheffler. Morikawa has the perfect type of game for Narashino, being one of the most accurate players on tour and he will look to take advantage of that trait on the very tight course.
Collin Morikawa each way at 7.50
Sahith Theegala at 19.00
Theegala has played in the Zozo Championship twice, finishing 19th in 2023 and 5th in 2022. He is also coming off the back of two top 7 finishes in his last two starts. With his good run of form and familiarity with doing well in Japan, he will definitely be a front runner this weekend although like many at the top of the betting boards returning to action we will have to trust that he shakes off the rust quickly.
Sahith Theegala each way at 19.00
Beau Hossler at 36.00
Hossler has the best form of any player going into this weekend. In his last three weeks of golf he has finished 23rd, 11th and 2nd. He will be looking to take advantage of that solid momentum on a course where he finished runner up in 2023 and 16th on debut the year before.
Beau Hossler each way at 36.00 and a top 10 finish at 4.00.
JJ Spaun at 46.00
Like Hossler he has good course form with a top 25 on debut in 2022 and a 6th place finish last year. His recent form is not quite as strong but he has finished top 25 and top 35 in his last 2 starts.
JJ Spaun each way at 46.00
