The PGA Tour continues with one of its most well-known tournaments of the year, the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Players will make the trip to Arizona to play TPC Scottsdale in what is sure to be a thrilling four days of golf.
The Course
TPC Scottsdale is located in the state of Arizona on the outskirts of the city of Phoenix. Located in the desert, the air is thin and the ball will travel a long way favouring longer hitters. There are not many hazards and the fairways are wide with room for error. Putting surfaces are larger than the average on tour and water can be found on only 6 of the 18 holes. The par 72 plays 7,266 yards.
Look out for the famous par 3 16th hole which has an atmosphere similar to what we would see at a Rugby match or UFC bout as up to 17000 spectators cheers the players on.

Selections:
Scottie Scheffler at 5/1
Although the odds are short, he will be looking to defend his title in Phoenix for a second year in a row. He has already finished 5th and 6th in only 3 starts this season and with his excellent temperament should put out a strong defence of his title again.
Suggested bet: To win outright at 5/1.
Jordan Spieth at 20/1
The 3-time major winner is no stranger to deep fields and tough competitions. Spieth has shown over his career that he can outwit and outplay the best of golfers at any given time. With a 3rd place finish already under his belt this season, Spieth will be hunting for the win to add to his impressive collection. No stranger to TPC Scottsdale, Spieth has had 4 top 10 finishes over the last 10 years in Phoenix.
Suggested bet: Each way at 20/1.
Sam Burns at 20/1
The American has had an impressive start to his season with 2 top 10 finishes in 3 starts. He also finished tied 6th at last year’s Phoenix Open, 8 shots off the lead. Burns may not be in contention to win the tournament outright but will have a strong chance of putting his name in the top 10 come the end of Sunday.
Suggested bet: Top 10 finish at 24/10
