The top 30 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings will battle it out this weekend in Atlanta to determine the number one PGA Tour golfer of the year. We will look at this week’s golf from a betting angle and select 3 players to take on the bookies.
Course
This week’s tournament will be held at East Lake for the 24th time, showcasing its lush parkland layout with tight, tree-lined fairways and thick rough. Accuracy off the tee will be crucial, as the course demands precision. Water hazards come into play on six of the eighteen holes, but for most pros, these won’t pose a significant threat, provided they avoid the rough. The greens are firm and fast, requiring precise approach shots to land in the right areas for success.
This week’s format is based on the position of the golfers in the FedEx Cup ranking coming into this weekend. The golfers who are ranked higher will start the weeks golf on a lower score and play from there.

SELECTIONS:
Note these markets are for the FedEx Cup standings and not for the tournament win so Burns for example is 13.00 to win the Tournament but 45.00 to win the FedEx Cup.
Xander Schauffele at 3.30
Schauffele will have to chase down Scheffler from day 1. Both golfers are coming into this week on form however, Schauffele’s form has been a little better than Scheffler’s. Xander finished 5th last week while Scottie finished 33rd. Xander has also finished in the top 5 in 3 of his last 5 tournaments with one of those being a win. In the other 2 tournaments he finished 9th and 15th. He is a double major winner in 2024 and knows how to close out the big tournament and his course form is incredible with all 7 starts inside the top 7 including 3 victories (stroke play not including the handicap)
Xander Schauffele each way at 3.30.
Sam Burns at 46.00
Burns is coming into this week on form finishing runner-up last week, only one shot off the win and he was 5th the week before. Burns will start this week a few shots off the top but it must be taken into consideration that there are only 30 golfers playing this weekend so he has a big opportunity to put his name high up on the leaderboard.
Sam Burns each way at 46.00
Taylor Pendrith Top 20 finish
Pendrith is also coming into this week on form having finished in the top 5 in two of his last 4 tournaments. He finished 13th at last week’s BMW Championship continuing his run of form. Out of all the players who are ranked 20th to 30th in the FedEx Cup rankings, he is the only player to have finished in the top 5 over the last 6 weeks. He will start behind a number of players but with his recent form should be able to get his name into the top half of the field.
Taylor Pendrith top 20 finish at 1.90
