After a Masters that will be remembered for years to come, the PGA Tour heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links. We take a close look at this week’s golf from a betting angle and select 4 players to battle the bookies.
THE COURSE
The Harbour Town Golf Links plays to a par 71 and approaching the small greens from the right place in the fairway is important so the length is always an advantage, driving accuracy and good iron play is probably more important this week.
THE FIELD
It would be reasonable to expect a weak field the week after the years 1st major but that is not the case and Scottie Scheffler is back to defend. He was always thereabouts last week at Augusta without truly looking like winning and with his form slightly off last years level we are looking to take him on.

Ludvig Aberg at 13.00
In only his second Masters of his career, Aberg went into Sunday a couple of shots off the lead. The youngster put in a brilliant round where if not for two slip-ups on the last two holes, he would have put himself into the playoff and at the least matches his runner up showing from the year before. Aberg finished 10th at last years tournament and will be looking to improve on this after last week’s mixture of momentum and disappointment from the Masters.

Patrick Cantlay at 19.00
Cantlay has an extremely impressive record at Harbour Town. In the last three years he has finished third, twice and runner-up in 2023. If that’s not impressive enough, between 2019 and 2017 he had another two third place finishes as well as a 7th place finish. He finished 36th at last week’s Masters which was played in extremely tough conditions. I see him doing very well yet again this weekend in South Carolina.

Corey Conners at 23.00
Conners reminded everyone last weekend of how well he has been playing this season. He managed to finish 8th come the end of the tournament, but was high up on the leaderboard for much of the tournament. Conners had finished in the top 25 in all of his five starts before the Masters with two top 10s and a 3rd place finish all within that time. I can see him bringing this solid golf to Harbour Town and putting himself in contention.

Brian Harman at 81.00
Harman is a past winner of The Open and he has a very solid record here with 2 top 15’s, a top 10 and a top 40 in his last 4 starts. He is coming off a solid top 40 at the Masters and the week before that he won the Valero Texas Open with some great golf in the 1st 3 rounds.
He is a player who can hold form and I am surprised to see this price.
