The PGA Tour heads to Bermuda for the sixth stop of the FedExCup Fall Series, where players are jostling to secure cards and status for next season. Below we break down Port Royal, scan the market, and share a few value plays.
The Course
Port Royal Golf Course (Southampton, Bermuda) is a scenic par 71 that measures 6,828 yards (6,244 metres). It is short by tour standards but can be challenging when the Atlantic breeze kicks up. Wide-open ocean vistas hide a test built on wind, angles, and nerve. Fairways are generally medium width, but crosswinds make them play tighter; approach shots must be flighted correctly to hold elevated, contoured greens.
The iconic par-3 16th plays across the cliffs with little shelter and club selection and ball flight are crucial here. With calm weather, this is a low-scoring venue (the 2024 field averaged 69.97), turning it into a wedge-and-putt contest. When it blows, driving accuracy, distance control into the wind, scrambling, and confident putting separate contenders from chasers.
Past Winners
2024 Rafael Campos (Puerto Rico) -19 3 strokes
2023 Camilo Villegas (Colombia) -24 2 strokes
2022 Séamus Power (Ireland) -19 1 stroke
2021 Lucas Herbert (Australia) -15 1 stroke
Field & Betting Picture
With few headline PGA Tour stars teeing it up, opportunity knocks for in-form contenders and course specialists. In calmer conditions, look for elite wedge games and hot putters to thrive; if the wind gets up, accurate drivers and low-ball hitters gain the edge. This setup typically creates genuine each-way value in the mid-price range.

SELECTIONS:
Rico Hoey at 21.00
Hoey has been on a solid run of form over the last few weeks. In his last three events he has recorded two top 5 finishes at the Baycurrent Classic and the Black Desert Championship. He then went on to finish 21st at last weekends WWT Championship after shooting -18 over the four days. He has been playing some really solid golf, and I think he has a good chance this weekend.
Rico Hoey each way at 21.00.
Thorbjorn Olesen at 23.00
Olesen is another player who has been on a brilliant run of form over the last few weeks. In his last four starts he has finished 14th or better on every occasion. His two best finishes came at the Open de Espana where he finished 9th and the Black Desert Championship where he finished in 3rd place.
Thorbjorn Olesen each way at 23.00.
Patrick Rodgers at 31.00
Rodgers is heading into this week with a very solid record in Bermuda. In his last three starts at the Tournament he has finished in the top 10 every time with a 3rd place finish and a 4th place finish back in 2022 and 2021. After not playing the Tournament in 2023, he returned last year to finish in 9th place. With that record, his game must suit the course and so I think he stands a chance this weekend.
Patrick Rodgers each way at 31.00
