The DP World Tour remains in the United Arab Emirates this week as the players get ready to take on the Ras Al Khaimah Championship at the Al Hamra Golf Club. We select 3 players to take on the bookmakers.
THE COURSE
Al Hamra Golf Club is a par 72 Championship golf course that plays at 7,400 yards. Al Hamra has large, wide fairways with room for errant tee shots and flat greens that shouldn’t pose a challenge for the tour pros. As with most courses on the Arabian Peninsula, being able to play out of sand is essential, whether it’s greenside bunkers, fairway bunkers, or wasteland. Warm, calm weather is expected from Thursday through Sunday and conditions shouldn’t be a problem for the players.

SELECTIONS:
Shaun Norris at 34.00
After winning the Alfred Dunhill in December last year, Norris got off to a solid start in 2025 finishing sixth at the Desert Classic last weekend in Dubai. Norris now has two wins and a sixth-place finish in his last three starts. Norris did not take part in the Ras Al Khaimah Championship last year but finished 9th in 2022. His solid run of form and experience in the tournament should help him put his name near the top of the leaderboard.
Suggested Bet: Shaun Norris each way at 34.00.
Julien Guerrier at 36.00
Guerrier has had a brilliant run of form at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship over the last four years with two 13th and one 9th place finish. He has also finished in the top 25 in all of his last three starts with his best finish being 6th at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. If he continues this form and gets off to a good start, he stands a good chance of finishing in the top 5 and possibly challenging for the win.
Suggested Bet: Julien Guerrier each way at 36.00
Thorbjorn Olesen at 12.00
Olesen will be heading to the Al Khaimah looking to defend his title from last year where his won a staggering 6 shots while also finishing fourth in 2023. He had a mediocre weekend last week, finishing 31st in Dubai but did manage to finish 5th in his start before that and his course form and relative lack of depth in the field means I cannot leave him out.
Suggested Bet: Thorbjorn Olesen each way at 12.00.
