The DP World Tour remains in the United Arab Emirates as it travels up the coast from Dubai to Al Hamra and this will be the third of the five courses played in the Arabian Peninsula at the start of the season.
This will be the third year the tournament will take place, a relatively new event on the tour.
THE COURSE
Al Hamra Golf Club is a par 72 Championship golf course that plays at 7,400 yards. Al Hamra is known to have large, wide fairways with room for errant tee shots and flat greens that shouldn’t pose a challenge for the tour pros. As with most courses on the Arabian Peninsula, being able to play out of sand is essential, whether it’s greenside bunkers, fairway bunkers, or wasteland. Warm, calm weather is expected from Thursday through Sunday and shouldn’t be a problem for the players.

SELECTIONS:
Tristan Lawrence at 22/1
The South African golfer had a disappointing week last week where he missed the cut. He will be looking to bounce back from that performance and carry the momentum he had before that into this week. Lawrence has managed to finish 11th or better in 5 of his last 6 starts on tour with a runner-up finish 2 weeks ago.
Suggested Bet: To outright win at 22/1.
Zander Lombard at 22/1
The South African has finished 2nd and 3rd in his last 2 starts at the Ras Al Khaimah championship. A win is due for him. Lombard has had an impressive run of solid golf recently with 6 out of 6 top 25 finishes in his last 6 starts.
Suggested Bet: Top 10 finish at 28/10
Pablo Larrazabal at 40/1
No doubt an outside shot; however, the 9-time European tour winner knows how to win a tournament. With a 4th place finish last week, he will be coming into this week with confidence to put his name high up on the leaderboard. In 2022, he managed to finish 3rd at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.
Suggested Bet: Top 10 finish at 9/2
