The DP World Tour travels to Qatar for this years Commercial Bank Qatar Masters which takes place at the Doha Golf Club. We pick 4 players to take on the bookmakers.
The Course
Doha Golf Club is located just North of Doha city centre. As with most courses played over the last few weeks, the course is covered with sandy wasteland. The course plays just under 7,500 yards, which is longer than the average length of courses on the DP World Tour.
It is known to favour longer hitters in calm conditions but will challenge all players if the winds pick up. Conditions are expected to be calm over the weekend though – click here for the forecast.
The greens run fast and require creativity and a soft touch and with distance seemingly not the factor it once was on this course a hot putter looks likely to be the key to victory this week.

Selections:
Laurie Canter at 13.00
Canter is the inform golfer on the DP World Tour right now. After finishing third at the Dubai Desert Classic, he went on to win the Bahrain Championship last weekend in a dramatic playoff. Canter last played in the Qatar Masters in 2022 where he finished twelfth. With the form he is in and his good result at his last start in the tournament, there is a reason he is the favourite, and I can see him doing well this weekend.
Suggested bet: Each way at 13.00.
Jorge Campillo at 26.00
Campillo has one of the best records at the Qatar Masters of any golfer on tour. In his last four starts, he has finished in the top five three times, runner-up twice and fifth at last years tournament. Campillo finished 13th at last week’s tournament and will be looking to continue that momentum into a tournament he loves.
Suggested bet: Each way at 26.00.
Ivan Cantero at 61.00
Cantero has had two brilliant finishes in the past two weeks on tour, finishing fourth at last week’s tournament in Bahrain and fifth the week before. He will be looking to continue this momentum and earn as many DP World Tour points as he can.
Suggested bet: Each way at 61.00
Marcus Kinhult at 91.00
Kinhult is the longest price of our selections and with good reason as he has yet to fire in 2025. He ended 2024 strong though with a top 15 and a runner-up finish and while his course form is erratic to say the least he has 2 top 3’s (and 2 missed cuts) in his last 5 starts here.
Suggested Bet: Each way at 91.00
