This week, we travel to Bahrain for the Bahrain Championship as the DP World Tour continues its tour of the Arabian Peninsula. The tour returns to Bahrain for the first time in 13 years.
The Course
Located on the outskirts of Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Championship will be played at the prestigious Royal Golf Club, on the Montgomerie Course. Since the course is situated roughly in the middle of the island of Bahrain, it is relatively flat; however, the greens are known to be undulating and wide. As with most of the courses in the Arabian Peninsula, plenty of sand is found on the course. Water becomes an issue on the last 4 holes as the players make their way down the final stretch. The par 72 course plays 7,261 yards.

Selections:
Rasmus Hojgaard at 17/2
There is a reason the bookies have him as the favourite to win. The youngster has had an impressive start to the season with two 11th place finishes and last week’s runner-up. It’s not a matter of if the young Dane will win again, it’s a matter of when? Losing out on a win last week by 6 shots, he still managed to finish 21 under par and will carry that momentum into this week against what isn’t the strongest of fields.
Suggested bet: To win outright at 17/2
Keita Nakajima at 20/1
The Japanese golfer has had an extremely impressive run of results, with 3 top 5 finishes in his last 5 starts. He finished 4th twice and runner-up on the other occasion. Keita was once the number 1 amateur golfer in the world for a record 87 weeks. Yet to win on the DP World Tour, the youngster has the ability to push for a top 5 finish or higher.
Suggested bet: Each way at 20/1
Callum Shinkwin at 50/1
An outside shot that would be a surprise if the Englishman produced a win, however, he has managed to finish 11th and 4th in his last two starts on tour. The two-time European Tour winner can be right in the mix come Sunday if he holds his current form.
Suggested bet: Place (top 5) at 12/1
