Super Eights Format
There are two groups of four. Each team will play three matches and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
SRI LANKA
Sri Lanka finished Group B in second position to Zimbabwe in the group stages.
In their first Super Eights match against England, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first. England scored 146/9 in their 20 overs winning by 51 runs. Dunith Wellalage took 3 wickets for 26 in his 4 overs. Sri Lanka then were all bundled out for 95 runs in 16.4 overs with only four of the batsmen reaching double figures, captain, Dasun Shanaka scored 30 off 24 balls including 1 four and 2 sixes.
Sri Lanka are bottom of Super Eights Group 1 on zero points.
NEW ZEALAND
In the group stages New Zealand finished in second spot to South Africa in Group D.
Their first Super Eights was against Pakistan, but it was a no result match due to rain, and the match was abandoned with each team getting 1 point in Super Eights Group 2, leaving England at the top of the group at the time of writing.

Sri Lanka 2.40
New Zealand 1.59
SUGGESTED BETS:
BET: Sri Lanka win at 2.40
Sri Lanka were disappointing against England, particularly in the run chase of what was a moderate total. If I look at the form of the side across the Tournament I don’t see much between them and Sri Lanka look worth a bet on price alone.
BET: Pathum Nissanka Top Match Batsman at 6.25
Nissanka has scored 208 runs, including an unbeaten century and averages 52 with the bat in this Tournament. He along with Mendis has largely carried this Sri Lankan batting line-up and given I fancy Sri Lanka to win the match, would make sense if they do so on another big knock from Nissanka.
BET: Sri Lanka Innings Total Fours over 13.5 at 1.83
The total sixes lines are at 10.5 and it is a ground where boundaries are a bit more difficult to clear than others. Sri Lanka don’ t necessarily have the biggest hitters in their team and I can see them dealing in fours in this match.
Note: All prices are correct at the time of writing but are subject to change.
