Australia secured a victory in the first ODI of the five match series and we look at the betting for the 2nd ODI, set to be played on Saturday, September 9th, at the Mangaung Oval which also hosted the 1st ODI.
2nd ODI
In the opening ODI of the series, Australia won the toss and opted to bowl and they quickly had South Africa under pressure. The Proteas were eventually bowled out for 222 runs after 49 overs. They only reached that total thanks to an excellent performance by Temba Bavuma standing firm as he scored 114 runs off 142 balls while wickets fell around him.
Josh Hazlewood, who took three wickets at the top of the order and played a crucial role in bowling South Africa out for 222 . While he was superb for the visitors and as was the case in the T20 series there were good performances from a number of bowlers.
Australia managed to score 225 runs in 40.2 overs despite having looked in all sorts of trouble early with super sub Marnus Labuschagne, who scored 80 runs leading the charge after batting 7 and Ashton Agar, who added 48 runs to the total doing a fine job at number 9. The pair put on an unbeaten 112 for the 8th wicket.
Nobody really stood out on the bowling front and the South African bowlers split the wickets amongst them

South Africa 11/10
Australia 8/11
Suggested Bet: Australia to win at 8/11
Australia were dominant in the T20’s and despite some shaky moments early on the victory in the 1st ODI was fairly comfortable in the end. They have momentum and confidence and can add yet more pain onto the Proteas.
Suggested Bet: Top South African Batsman, Temba Bavuma at 7/2
After his standout performance on Thursday I am pleasantly surprised to be getting 7/2 about his chances here. He looked comfortable at the crease and there is no reason why he cannot go big again.
